Wishing you a fantastic day filled with joy, laughter, and all your favorite things. Here's to another amazing year ahead!
From our patient Carlee at our Centennial clinic: "I've had PT often for various reasons over the years and wish they'd been like FYZICAL! I've had two different therapists here for different needs and it's been very positive with both! I found FYZICAL for knee revision surgery PT recovery; intense PT. In this practice, unlike pt "mills" a skilled PT stays with you, working you out, tweaking things to meet your needs and capabilities the wholetime. You're not passed off to a tech or to work on your own and periodically checked with. . And the therapists are very professional to work with! And doing the follow-up work at home is clear. While I do it for my own well-being and recovery, I also don't want to let the therapist down. I will never use another PT place ever. FYZICAL has spoiled us (because my spouse successfully used them for an entirely different reason.) This is what Physical Therapy should be! Don't settle for less."

"PT Spotlight – Dr. Jenn McLaggan PT, DPT
How did you become interested in physical therapy, and what inspired you to pursue it as a career?
I was always interested in the medical field, but as I grew up, I noticed that I never got more than a few minutes with my doctors, the appointments felt rushed, and nothing felt personalized to me. I decided to pursue a doctorate in physical therapy because it would allow me to get to better know my patients and to provide them with individualized treatment that could help them heal their own bodies using movement as medicine.
Why is exercise important in maintaining overall physical health and preventing injuries?
Exercise is often treated as something you do for cosmetic appeal in today's day and age, but we've found that regular exercise builds strength in muscles, bones, and connective tissues. This not only enhances our physical capabilities but also fortifies our body against injuries. Lifting things becomes easier, moving around becomes safer, and our lives become more fulfilled because we are doing more fun things with the people we love. It's a win:win.
What activities do you enjoy outside of work that contribute to your physical health?
I am lucky to have a home gym set up and I lift heavy compound lifts a few times a week, but I do that so that I can walk my dog, hike fourteeners, mountain bike (I mostly crash, but I'm learning), and snowboard. My husband and I also cook healthy dinners together to support our bodies through all of the physical activities we do.

PT Spotlight – Dr. Jamie Grigsby
How did you become interested in physical therapy, and what inspired you to pursue it as a career?
I have always been interested in the medical field, but life first led me to pursue a Master's Degree in piano, and I have been a private piano teacher for 25 years. During that time, I developed an interest and specialization in an injury-preventive technique. Working with the technique of injured keyboardists fueled the fire to work with the injuries themselves, bringing me to the world of physical therapy.
Why is exercise important in maintaining overall physical health and preventing injuries?
Engaging in exercise in any form is essential for helping the body thrive, staying active in the activities you love, and clearing the mind. The wonderful thing is that exercise means many different things to different people. The important thing is to find something enjoyable, whether that means going to the gym, finding a tai chi class, walking around the neighborhood, or hiking in the mountains. Find something you enjoy and look forward to doing, and will be easy to maintain!
What activities do you enjoy outside of work that contribute to your physical health?
I enjoy running, yoga, and going to the gym as much as possible around my three teenagers' busy schedules.
Additionally, Dr. Grigsby was recently named Vice President of the Hand and Upper Extremity Academy of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
