James Earl Jones (January 17, 1931 - September 9, 2024, an iconic actor whose distinctive voice and commanding presence made him a beloved figure in both stage and screen, has passed away. He was renowned for his deep, resonant voice, most famously as the voice of Darth Vader in the "Star Wars" saga and Mufasa in Disney's "The Lion King."

Born on January 17, 1931, in Arkabutla, Mississippi, Jones overcame a childhood stutter to become one of the most respected actors of his generation.
