Armorer’s Gas Saver
OK. You guys are making this WAY too hard!
This is a standard oxy/acetylene torch rig and standard oxy/acetylene gas saver.
This is basically a stand. It is fueled by oxygen and propane, no additional or exceptional equipment required (except, of course the gas saver). The torch is set up with a large Rosebud tip. A small copper pipe runs from the gas saver pilot light to a standard torch tip next to the rosebud tip.
You step on the pedal, a seesaw mechanism pushes up on the gas saver lever – heat on. You step off, it goes back to pilot light.
This leaves both hands free for either holding the work or holding the work with one hand and the ready hammer in the other.

I figured I keep myself busy making a new stainless Steel Long - Sword. Its My new social distancing tool. Also shown with the Dagger and Arming Sword in the matching set

Reset leather to tighten Pauldrons

Updates to Greenwich style armour with (Henry VIII period termonolgy): "Pieces of Advantge".
All in 17-7 Precipitation Hardness (PH) spring stainless steel.

Finally finish the matching dagger, scabbards and mounting furniture.
