Shelby and her daughter, Vickie, worked on a shadow box for her apartment. Shelby is a coal miner's daughter. She started working as a CNA when she was 40 and retired when she was 70 years old. Shelby has made her "pink pie" every year for Christmas and her family still continue that tradition. Shelby and her daughter had many memories to share with each other.

On the funny side of fire! Residents got a chance to hear lighthearted and funny stories from members of the Asheboro Fire Department.

New life to an old shirt. Johnsie accidentally got a bleach stain one of her shirts. Instead of throwing it in the trash, she gave her shirt a sassy new life by adding a design.
