For perspective.. this window will be behind the rear window in our truck, and its purpose is keeping eyes on the dogs. They'll be riding comfy in the camper when we're on the road.

We weren't kidding about the truck camper! 🛻🏕️
Due to hit the road in July 🛣️ We'll be living in this even tinier home on wheels through the month.

It's main structure is coming along nicely. We used light poplar wood for the framing, and are trying to keep the build as simple as possible. Don't want to add too much load weight on our trusty Ford Ranger. Our plan is to tow a little cargo hauler for extra storage.

We really love the innovation involved in living tiny. Everyone adapts and creates their space to fit unique needs. We're excited to get on the road and see more rigs in person. Got to finish our own first.

We have very little barrier between the inside of the bus and the outside world. We get all kinds of bugs coming through. The jumping spiders eat the small flying insects, and they're cute and friendly, so we like them!

Do you let spiders be in your house or no way?! 😁

7 months later... Hot water is flowing to our shower outbuilding!! 🙌🏼 In Sept 2023, we were lucky enough to salvage this massive old hospital tank and post it up by the bus. And there it sat mocking us all winter 🤣

But now! Hot showers and water for dishes!! Woo!

For this hookup, we decided to invest in a new water pump that feeds direct to our ole portable water heater. It definitely wasn't as easy as 1..2..3.. happiness lol

We documented the whole journey on video, so we're going to make up some content about the process! We want to dive into some more long form videos this year, so as always, stay tuned!

Beautiful almost Spring day! Greenhouse flooring going! Until the walls are up it'll be a nice hang out spot.

We tried out using old tires packed with mud as the foundation. Stay tuned for videos about this build.

Spring Projects on Deck 🛠🔩🌱💧

First photo - the foundation for a small greenhouse. A place where we can start seeds, hold heat loving plants, protect tomatoes from deer!!, and hang out, obviously. We may house our future wood fired hot tub over here too 👀

Second photo - getting the fittings secure on our water tank. We're retrofitting this old hospital tank to our school bus home. We sealed up some leaks this week and are looking forward to running hoses and testing pressure. It's been our third of four winter without running water and this will be the last!!!!

We delivered it to it's home and Kody, the dog, was proud to call it his own. 🐾

Kody was used to sleeping in his pawrents bed, but it was getting a bit crowded. They had us make him a bed to keep near theirs, so he still feels included and everyone has personal space. ✔️✔️
