Lashes lifted and brows tinted for the start of the summer💖💖

A Lash Lift is a 3 step chemical process that relaxes the bonds of your natural lashes and curls your lashes. No need to use a lash curler for about 6 weeks.

A brow tint dyes your brow hairs and can stain the skin that can make a filled-in makeup brow look. Usually lasts a few days.

Whenever we tint, I always ask how dark you are willing to go, as the darker the tint is, the longer the look can last. A natural tint, one or two shades darker, can last less than a week at most while a filled-in makeup tint, three to four shades darker, can last less than two weeks. The darkest shade will always last for a the first couple days after the service and then gradually get lighter.

The longevity of the tint can also depend on your skin type, lifestyle, and how often you exfoliate. The oilier your skin is, the more active of a lifestyle you have, and the more you exfoliate(chemically or mechanically) can lessen the longevity of the tint. However, maintenance for this service is minimal! Avoid washing the tinted area for a few hours and avoid rubbing the waxed area💖

There are many factors that affect retention. From the product I use and how I use them to your lifestyle and how you take care of your lashes at home.

It is my job to remind you of these factors, some that may be out of our control like your natural lash line or the weather/humidity. However, when the issue of retention comes, it is also my job to wonder why and how.

Do you have what you need to take care of your lashes at home, like a foaming cleanser and some brushes? Are you prone to oily skin or have an active lifestyle? How often do you wash your lashes? Do you wear any eye makeup? Are you making sure to avoid any oil based skincare around your eyes? Are you double cleansing your lashes after the gym, beach, pool? Did you take a steamy shower the same day after our lash appointment? Did you touch or rub your eyes at all? Do you move around in your sleep? Are the lashes bothering your eyes or hitting your lids/glasses?

Honestly, the questions can go on and on but this is not to seem overwhelming at all! Sometimes, clients are doing everything right to a T but the retention is just not there. This is when I bring up the idea of changing your lashes, sometimes going down in length or volume to try and lessen the weight your naturals are baring. Sometimes it’s changing styles to see what your natural lashes prefer and can hold. Again, there are many contributing factors playing in retention and these habits are crucial to implement to assure the best retention.
