After earning both a Bachelor’s and an Associate’s degree, she embarked on a journey to find her true calling.

Her path led her through various career opportunities, but it was her experience as a chiropractic assistant that ignited her passion for holistic health and wellness.

Now, as our front desk administrator and the leader of our remote patient care team, Carlie pours her heart and soul into caring for each and every one of you.

If you’re one of our remote patients, you already know Carlie’s name and the incredible dedication she brings to her role.

Continuing our re-introductions, we’re excited to spotlight our Medical Director next!

Dr. Faisal M Fakih is a dually board-certified, Osteopathic physician, with board certifications in both Internal Medicine and Sleep Medicine. He also has a certification in the practice of Functional Medicine practitioner through the Institute for Functional Medicine.

He received his undergraduate degree in biology at Drexel University in Philadelphia, then went on to complete his medical training at the Lake Erie Collage of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, FL.

He then went on to complete his residency in Internal Medicine at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, OH, which was then followed by a Sleep Medicine fellowship at Larkin Community Hospital in Miami, FL. Since the completion of his medical training, Dr. Fakih has practiced in multiple clinical settings including acute inpatient care as a hospitalist, clinical research as a physician investigator, and as an outpatient physician specializing in sleep disorders.

Throughout all his education, training, and clinical work experience, Dr. Fakih realized that “traditional medicine” lacked an emphasis on lifestyle, nutrition, and overall wellbeing, as a means to achieve health and longevity.

It was this that motivated him to pursue further education in Functional Medicine and become an IFM-certified practitioner. As a result, Dr. Fakih has the same capacity to diagnose and treat a wide range of diseases like most classically trained physicians, however his emphasis on health optimization as a means for true disease prevention and longevity, sets him apart.

Cameron grew up in the Midwest with five siblings in a household that valued quality time and camaraderie. Armed with a Master’s Degree in Exercise and Nutrition Science from the University of Tampa, he became a dedicated weight loss coach driven by a passion for education and helping others.

Cameron’s approach combines motivation and education to help clients achieve their best progress while enjoying the journey. His mission is to empower people with the knowledge and support needed to lead healthier lives, fostering lasting transformations through genuine connections and personalized strategies.

He and his wife Caia moved from Tampa to Asheville to follow their dreams of living in the mountains and opening a clinic of their own to serve the local community.

We do encourage our patients to keep track of their steps and here’s why…

A fairly common mistake is to misjudge how active we truly are. Did you know that anything under 5k steps a day is considered sedentary? And low active is 5k to 7,499 steps!

Simply put — we can’t track what isn’t logged and we need to know what’s working for you. Here’s some motivation to keep you moving towards your fitness goals:

Improved cardiovascular health: Regular walking helps strengthen the heart and improve circulation, reducing the risk of heart disease.

Weight management: Walking helps burn calories, aiding in weight loss or maintenance.

Enhanced mood: Physical activity, like walking, releases endorphins, which can boost your mood and reduce stress.

Better joint health: Walking can help lubricate and strengthen the joints, reducing the risk of arthritis and other joint issues.

Increased energy levels: Regular walking boosts energy by improving oxygen flow throughout the body.

Improved mental clarity: Walking can enhance cognitive function and memory by increasing blood flow to the brain.

Reduced risk of chronic diseases: Walking regularly can lower the risk of conditions such as type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and certain cancers.
