Visit to AMB (Appalachian Montain Brewery) Mills River NC Nice setup off of Boyleston Hwy across from Ingles Shopping Center
Ordered a Czech pilsner - very light more like a domestic American representation of the style When questioned the bartender assured me it was bittered with Saaz hops thought the hop rate so low to balance with low malt it lacked classic Saaz taste Clear golden yellow (see photo) When questioned about a malty lager the bartender recommended the Hockland Helles but didn’t offer me a taste
Staff appeared defensive of their product
A fairly large food menu was also offered
Beware when ordering wine by the glass They poured my partners wine short and when we questioned bartender got defensive Then they measured it & agreed it was short & topped it off
