This is exactly what VTSeva youth volunteers did today “ Feeding Hope” . The team prepared and served over 110 hot vegetarian meals to homeless community at Nashua Soup Kitchen. The day started with bringing in the ingredients, chopping vegetables and cooking under able guidance of our main chef Smn. Raghuram Samudrala and other adult volunteers. The long day of standing on the feet felt very worthwhile seeing the smiling and satisfied people who we served. We all left the premises knowing that we made a difference in someone’s day esp. those in need.

Our Nethra Vidayala students won the Championship award in India's FIRST Robotics FLL competition. They are attending the FIRST Worlds Championship in Houston from April 17 - 20, 2024. Acts of kindness and service are the true expressions of love. Thank you for being a part of our mission to spread love and make a difference in our community.

VTSeva-Boston Youth Anvitha, Malav and Manav conducted a free Virtual Public Speaking camp during this Winter break 2023 for 3rd-8th graders. Personally through their high school, they participate in Speech and Debate, along with Model UN. The students came up with the curriculum and day to day schedule. The camp covered a few topics, consisting of delivery, research and substance. Each day of the week covered specific skills and last day was a competition among the participants of the camp. Day 1 included presentation, content, confidence, time management and body language. While teaching the kids how to write a speech, the coaches talked about knowing your audience, using time properly, how to stay on topic as well as using facts and opinions. Furthermore, they discussed the importance of good grammar, contrasting points and cited evidence. On the last day of the camp , a competition was conducted among the participants based on the prompt , “Convince the audience that a given sport is better than other sports.” This helped to assess the participants abilities and see how much they learned during the camp .
At the end of the camp, students sent individual emails to the parents about their child and skills that they have developed.

Get ready for the annual Public Speaking Competition coming up in March, and the Boston Bloom event some time in April. More information about these events will be shared.
