We were very honored to be able to host the 1st Athens County Fair Carcass Class for Beef and Swine today. Dr. Lydia Garcia, from The Ohio State University Agricultural Department, was our judge. Using a standardized grading system, the carcasses were graded as prime, choice or select.

Dr. Garcia was very complimentary on the quality of carcasses raised by members of Athens County 4-H and FFA. Congratulations to all the kids that competed and be sure to watch for them at the Livestock Sale on Friday, August 9th.

Big thanks to the Athens County Fairboard and Sales Committee for helping to make this show a success!

We love being able to educate youth. Here are several youth that have came for a tour of our facility to fully understand farm to table. We have several past 4-H and FFA members that are employeed with us, so educating youth is very important to us. Thanks kids for spending some time with us.
