Come see Neighborhood Books and many more local authors next Saturday September 21st at the Athens-Clarke County Library for Indie Author Day! Rob will be leading a panel on marketing for local authors featuring Mux Blank of JokerJokerTV, Johanna of the YouTube channel Johanna Reads, and Mark Katzman, author of the recently released M7. The event starts at 10 and the panel starts at 11:30.

Are you a fan of independent books? Don't miss out on the Athens-Clarke County Library's Indie Authors Fair! Join us in the morning on Saturday Sept. 21st, for writing tips from local authors. Then stop by in the afternoon to meet local writers and browse their catalogues!

Break-out sessions covering topics such as Screenwriting, Self-publishing, Graphic Novels, and more will be available from 10 AM to 12 PM. No registration required for break-out sessions! Local authors and providers of literary services are invited to sign up to table, talk about your book and bring copies to sell! One table per author/service. Space is limited so sign up for your table now!

Our friends at the Georgia Fine Arts Academy are hosting an energy workshop for creatives. Jumpstart your inspiration at Athica: Athens Institute for Contemporary Art, August 18th at 4:30pm. $15 donation to the Fine Arts Academy suggested.

Last night I had the privilege of seeing Linnentown: The Musical at The Classic Center. Congrats to Neighborhood Books authors Hattie Thomas Whitehead and Tracy Brown, among so many other talented actors, writers, and musicians who graced that stage. It was funny, it was heartbreaking, and it left the audience with a powerful message of remembrance, love, and honor of a place, people, and way of life tragically cut short in the name of progress.
