Our Story
I first started taking photos in 4th grade with my mother’s Pentax K1000 camera. At that young age, I was fascinated by the work of Ansel Adams — I was certain that I’d grow up to be a landscape photographer. I even scrimped and saved for an old Kodak Box Brownie – one of Ansel Adam’s first cameras.
When I was seventeen I started working at a local photo studio. It wasn’t long before I realized how much I love capturing personal moments and the unique personalities of the people that came into the studio. I definitely consider myself a people person, and I pride myself on being able to bring out the best of the people I photograph.
I’ve attended two photography schools and worked in a pair of photo studios for more than 14 years. About 10 years ago, however, I’ve ventured out on my own and now this is my full time job. As part of my freelance work, I’ve shot everything from family reunions to birth photography. My specialties are children and family portraits.
I prefer to work outside and I love scouting new locations and getting creative with my surrounding environment.
