Free Splash Pad Hours this week:

Tuesday August 27th - Friday August 30th 10am - 7pm!

Our pool is closed this week due to school starting, but this weekend our hours are:

Sat August 31st:
9am-12pm: Free splash pad
10am-12pm: tot time and lap swim time
12-7pm: open swim
7-8pm: lap swim

Sunday September 1st:
12p-6p: open swim

Monday September 2nd:
12p-4p: open swim

Did you know that we have a universal changing table at the Athens City Pool? This is a large changing table for people of all ages and is located in our family restroom next to the women's locker room. We also replaced the hand dryer in this restroom with paper towels which reduces sensory related triggers for our pool guests!

Check out YOUR soon to be finished outdoor fitness court! This will be a space you can enjoy fitness activities FOR FREE right along the bike path near the new fire station! You will be able to scan a QR code to find free workouts or use the equipment freely in your workouts! We will let you know when it’s ready!

Our friends at SOCIL-Ohio are hosting an Adaptive Sports Open Gym on August 23 and 30 at the Athens Community Center. This is open to anyone with a disability, ages 8 and up. This event is free and will feature sports like co****le, boccia, basketball, and football.

Start Smart Soccer is a developmentally appropriate introductory soccer program for children 3-5 years old. The program prepares children for organized soccer in a fun non-threatening environment. Start Smart Soccer prepares children and their parents for organized soccer without the threat of competition or the fear of getting hurt. Age appropriate soccer equipment is used to teach kicking, dribbling, trapping, throw ins and agility.

It’s that time of the season - our pool staff must return to school, sports, and life which means we have to change our hours of operation for the pool. Our end of season schedule is posted on our website - changes begin Monday August 19th! Our last day will be Monday September 2nd!

LAP SWIM NOTICE: Lap swim will have a delayed start time tomorrow 8/6 due to a planned power outage that will impact our filtration and pool monitoring systems. We are hoping to have things up and running to have lap swim 9am-12pm but we will make another post by 8:30 am tomorrow with an update.
