Cotton Patch Quilt Guild in Athens Georgia We hold a large quilt show every two years. The next show is scheduled for March of 2025.
The Cotton Patch Quilters Guild promotes an interest in quilting among its members and the community at large; preserves the continuation of the art of quilting; provides educational opportunities; provides opportunities to share information pertaining to quilting; and contributes to the community through charitable and service projects. Some of the groups we have supported include Project Safe, Child Abuse Athens, Relay for Life, Habitat for Humanity, and various nursing homes.
We had 60+ members present on Tuesday night and, as you might imagine, the Show & Tell was OUTSTANDING!! This certainly bodes well for our upcoming show!!
Our meeting on Tuesday was magnificent. Our speaker, Tara Miller from The Quilt District spoke about the "Magic of Mixing Prints". We ALL learned so much!!
As usual, our "Show and Tell" was amazing. We DO have some talented members!!
Tuesday night's meeting featured our own Sheila Shepherd of Thirty 4 Stitches. She shared information about different batting types and then examples of quilts using those battings. It was a great program. Thanks Sheila
We had some marvelous entries into our "Mood of the City" challenge.....
Tuesday's Meeting and Pot Luck was fun with installing our new officers (thanks ladies) and some great show and tell.....

Show and Tell last night was outstanding as usual!!
Our member, Kay Davis, spoke at last night's meeting about her journey with free-motion quilting. She was vivacious and led us on an exciting journey, showing some amazing Free-Motion Quilting!!
Last week, 18 CPQ members enjoyed 5 days at retreat....quilting, eating, talking and a little bit of sleeping!
As usual, our Show And Tell was outstanding!!
Our March meeting was one week early and featured Muriel Pfaff. She talked about the life, times, and quilts of Frances Cleveland. It was great to see everyone there!!
