Orders must be in by Midnight on Friday, 12/17 and pickup will be on Friday, 12/22/23 from 12 pm to 6 pm at the Bakeshop. Payment will be on arrival the 22nd.

Hi, everyone. This is a post we had hoped we wouldn’t have to make. Here at Jackie O’s, we pride ourselves on giving you the absolute best experience possible across all of our locations. That’s why, starting Monday, May 15th, we’re closing Jackie O’s Bakeshop to the public. That’s the bad news. The good news is that this isn’t goodbye! Think of it more as a summer vacation.

Here at the Bakeshop, we’ve decided to take a step back and refine what we really want this place to be. In, admittedly, rushing to get the Bakeshop open for all of you to enjoy, we got away from our original vision. As such, during this hiatus we will be transforming the Bakeshop into more of a cafe-bakeshop hybrid. One where you can still purchase the amazing sweets and savories you’ve come to expect from our incredible team of bakers and pastry chefs, while having a community space where you can enjoy them. We want this to be a place you love coming to AND one you enjoy hanging out in!

And don’t worry! While the Bakeshop is metamorphosing, we will be making a larger selection of the Bakeshop’s goods available at Jackie O’s Taproom (just down the street at 25 Campbell!) in the coming weeks. We sincerely thank you all for your patience and understanding as we work to make this space something truly special for all of you. This isn’t goodbye. It’s just see you later. And when we do, Jackie O’s Bakeshop will be better than ever!

Spring has sprung and so has our new seasonal sweets menu!

Celebrate 17 years of Jackie O’s with our Anniversary Bottle Release! This release will take place March 24th and March 25th and will be available at all Jackie O’s locations and on our online store if you can’t make it to Athens for the Extravaganza.

The first of our final two bottle reveals this week is a ✨brand new✨ Imperial Stout that celebrates the magic of our special town in Southeast Ohio: This is A Place Between Places!

A Place Between Places - Presenting scrumptious aromas of chocolate-dipped coconut macaroon and light caramel, this Imperial Stout was aged in barrels used locally in Athens County for aging maple syrup and conditioned on that very same syrup as well as 150 lbs. of flaked coconut, toasted to absolute perfection by our coworkers and collaborators Jackie O's Bakeshop. Notes of sweet oak, toasted sugar, and sticky maple glaze the palate from this luscious stout, a pure expression of love for and from our wonderful little place between places.
11.7% ABV.

Happy Sunday! We're open 11-2 today. Come in for sweets, savories, sandwiches, and 2 soups - one veggie and one meat based (now a daily offering). We now carry Dirty Girl Coffees and Teas, as well as Laurel Valley cheeses!
Our bread sales on Saturday were wildly successful, so no Sunday bread (sorry), but plenty of other delicious options! See you soon!

Wow! Thank you all for such a successful Saturday! Our "day old" Sunday will be slimmer pickings than we anticipated. Come in for ciabatta, focaccia, pita, crostini, packaged goods, soup, salads, gourmet grilled cheese, biscuits and gravy, savory roll-ups, tarts, and slices of cakes and pies! We also carry Dirty Girl Coffee!

Hey there, friends! It's already the holiday season; can you believe it?
We have altered hours next week, and stay tuned for expanded hours in the coming weeks. We will be open Tuesday 11/22/2022 and Wednesday 11/23/2022 from 11am to 7pm. We will have pull apart rolls, loaves of your family's favorite breads and desserts galore! We will be closed the remainder of that week, and will reopen Thursday 12/01.
Come in tomorrow 11-2 or Saturday 9-2 to sign up for cakes, pies, hand pies, and boxes of cookies!

I wanted to remind you that Jackie O’s Bakeshop is alive and baking! As we transition into fall (rapidly turning to winter, yikes!) we’ve been changing up our menu to reflect these changes.

Cheesy Potato Galettes are back on the menu. They are available Thursday through Saturday now, along with Handpies (currently of the apple persuasion).

Asiago-Roasted Garlic Sourdough has returned, joining the other breads every day we are open: Jackie O’Sourdough, O’Rye, Rustic Baguettes, Not Quite White, Italian, Pretzels (traditional and buns), Ciabatta Buns, Focaccia and more. I know you don’t have us pegged for a “bread every day” kind of place, so kindly make a mental note to change that expectation. Let me state it one more time: We have bread every day of the week.

Our Barrel Ridge Farm is still kicking out some great produce. Right now we have farm fresh tomatoes! Try to find those anywhere else. These heirloom beauties taste as good as they look. We also have squash (acorn and butternut), leafy greens, lots of peppers and eggplant.

We have hired some new bakers that we are very excited about, and we are working on getting the staffing to increase the number of days and hours we are open. If you haven’t been in to see us for a bit, please do stop by soon and see what’s going on.
