After 3 years Metz Made is leaving Junk in the Trunk and will transition to online and private custom sales exclusively. We will still be popping up at festivals from time to time as well and we will post when and where. So…we are going to drop this little teaser here! We are really excited to be working with Whiskey Wine and Design on some new lighting projects with their beautiful barrels! Design is underway on the first piece and as soon as Hilary has a final product we will do the unveiling! No peeking!!!!

Came home to find a delicious surprise in our UPS box at the end of our lane!! I can’t tell you how much I love living in the country!! Thank you Mark from Hearts of Harvest for these beauties!! For those that aren’t aware…Hearts of Harvest has the BEST strawberries in the south!!! If you see them out at markets selling them you better buy what you can cuz they go fast!!

If anyone was wondering what Hilary was doing in the shop lately, wonder no more!! Her first custom dart board set, complete with overhead and backlighting! Reclaimed cherry at the base to hold 4 sets of darts and hand carved chalk/eraser reservoirs. For additional details on this piece please reach out and we will spill! This really looks great on the wall and would be great addition to any man cave or game room!! These are 100% custom pieces so we are taking orders only, no boards are pre-made. Obviously as with all custom pieces the prices will vary based on the order. The cost of this beauty was $1,050. This item is not available but can be duplicated! .

has gone a little mid century modern with this record player table with vinyl rack! Trimmed out in Brazilian hardwood just pops against the backdrop of the light gray paint! Unfortunately this one is not for sale as it has found a home with Hilary, but she is taking orders if interested! Colors and dimensions can be customized! Cost of this design $450. Well it’s official…Hilary has figured out how to make something out of every part of a pallet! Her newest creation…the block light!! The lettering was left on and,although we have no idea what they mean, we think it gives them that extra stroke of industrial!! Great for the office or home!!! If anyone knows Hilary you know she loves her wine! Having said that, it should come as no surprise that she is starting a new product line built around it! She is calling it “wine line” and here is the first piece! This wine stand is made of beautiful reclaimed pine that has been hand sanded and oiled to perfection! Hilary even added an acrylic coating…so it can handle your wine spillage!! Hairpin legs give it that contemporary design feature!! Wine rack holds 4 bottles and is made from 1/8” cable and reclaimed deck spindles taken from an old porch. On each side of the wine rack you will find custom wine glass racks that each hold 2 glasses…also made from old porch spindles!! 35” (L) x 10” (D) x 29.5” (H) Sorry the wine shown belongs to Hilary…and she says to get your own!!! She is only selling this for $375! It will be sent to Junk In The Trunk tomorrow if you want a better look!!

Just when I thought this festival weekend couldn’t get any better this beautiful face shows up!!! My heart was filled all weekend with such a fantastic crew to help Metz Made have an incredibly successful weekend! Thanks to Savannah, Alicia, Jeff, Matthew, Rashay and her amazing daughter (and Princess…the sweetest dog)…and of course my amazing wife!! I am so incredibly blessed to be surrounded by such amazing people!! You complete me!!! Now I’m going to crash for a few days…

Behold the latest addition to the wine collection…barrel stave mounted wine rack!!! Long after the delicious wine is stored in the barrel, it is held by the barrel!!! The stave has been sanded down and given a nice heavy coat of Danish oil to both seal and release the beautiful grain in the wood. All of the piping is 1” and holds each bottle very securely!! You know you want one…don’t deny yourself!! This can easily ship too!! Perfect gift for a registry…wink wink!!! $125/each

Metz Made homage to UGA’s 2021 champs! The original plan was to have 20 of these; however, due to high demand of the glassware we were only allotted 12. We knew these would be a limited edition…but now they are even more limited!! Two have been placed at Junk In The Trunk. Hilary is currently working on another design option, but so far this is the only release. This will make a great addition to your UGA game room!!! When they are gone…that’s all she wrote! $75/each.

Well the Boulevard skateboard has sold, but a Chima Ferguson one has taken its place!! Few other differences on this one…regular G25 LED comes with this one and regular rotary switch. The oversized bulb highlights the constellation on the board nicely! Hanging up at Junk In The Trunk now! $150

Ok people…I have placed 2 new microphone lamps at Junk In The Trunk! I can only make these so fast as the cutting into the cages also cuts my delicate fingers! I will make them as long as I can find the parts and as long as they stay in demand. So here you go ya vultures…first come first serve!!

My grandfather had an old hat rack that held his hats he procured from every farm equipment and feed/seed company in the Midwest. By the time he passed away that old rack was so rickety that it fell apart when all the hats came off. Funny how the hats were what kept that thing together all those years. To keep the memory of that old hat rack alive I designed this lamp…with the lights honoring all those hats that kept it standing for all those years! Glassware provided by Southern Brewing!!!! SHINE ON…FARM ON!!!

Well damn…Hilary took an old skateboard and made a wall light fixture!! She even fabricated the trucks to fit the piping for the light!! Rotary switch is the red valve at the bottom!! The light is recessed into the piping. This thing is really cool…we have to give her props!!! Board is a used Boulevard deck that she left all of the beatings it took when it was in its prime!! She is also providing the mounting brackets! $150

Riddle us this…what do you get when you turn Hilary loose in the shop with some old skateboards??? We don’t know either but we found her very quiet and focused today. We stayed long enough to nag her with the camera…she loves that!!!
