We're at the GLMA Summer Institute in Peachtree City! Come by our booth for new swag and to sign up for our FREE annual conference, happening next week!
We get a lot of questions about the annual event, which is happening virtually June 11-12. Here's answers to some of the questions we get!
1. Will I get continuing education credits? We do give out certificates of attendance with the hours noted of your attendance. You may then be able to use these hours toward your credits. That is based on the credentialing institution. You will need to use your full name when joining the sessions for us to be able to count you. The certificates must be requested by you.
2. Are the sessions recorded? In most cases yes. Those videos will then be available on the Sched app for attendees first, and then later in the summer on the GALILEO conference site and YouTube channel.
3. Will there be copies of presentations available? Yes. In most cases, presenters do send us presentation slides, and then we upload those for you after the session concludes.
4. Can I register late? No. The deadline is June 7, there are no exceptions.
5. What if you want to attend two presentations happening at the same time? You are welcome to come in and out, but you also may chose to view the other concurrent session later.
6. Can someone who is not a librarian register to attend? Yes. All Georgia teachers, faculty, librarians, MLIS graduate students, and parents may attend.
Are signed up for the FREE GALILEO conference on June 11-12? The presentation by Affordable Learning Georgia is going to be a popular one, so be sure to add it to your agenda! Open education is one of THE buzzwords in education now, but how is it working really for the USG? How does it translate to greater literacy? Jeff Gallant and Nakita Afaha will present on 10 years of data!
