Georgiann Basilone-Moss ’75 — the extended Basilone-Chapman-Byers-Moss-Galicki family consists of 24 Bobcats!

Jordan Gruner Cox ’12, ‘17 — the extended Gruner-Cox-Edwards-Wolshire-Smith family consists of 16 Bobcats who have graduated from OHIO since 1970!

Tie — Megan Vogel ’98 and Libby Nilsen ’27 have five generations of Bobcats in their families!
Most Historical Relative 🧱
Many entries had a relative who graduated closer to the inception of Ohio University than today! Michelle Blackburn's (’11) third-great grandfather, James D. Johnson, graduated with his bachelor’s degree in 1842, and then again with his masters in 1848. John Penrose's (’66) fourth-great grandfather, the Honorable Dudley Woodbridge Sr., was a Charter Trustee of Ohio University and Secretary of the Board in 1804.

Congrats to OHIO alumnus Jim Lynch, '93, who received the prestigious 2024 Ohio University Outstanding State Government Alumnus Award!
Lynch is a distinguished graduate of the Ohio University Scripps College of Communication whose career spans decades of service in state government and public communications.
Ohio University and Ohio University's Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Service celebrated public service excellence during the annual Ohio University State Government Alumni Luncheon held at the Athletic Club of Columbus on May 8.
The event, attended by more than 150 Ohio University alumni, legislators, state officials, and friends, recognized the outstanding contributions of alumni to public service in the state of Ohio.
