Archway Partnership
The Archway Partnership connects communities across GA to resources at UGA.
The Archway Partnership connects communities across Georgia to the knowledge, expertise and other resources at the University of Georgia. The community determines the needs and Archway facilitates identification of faculty and students with expertise and similar interest.
The University of Georgia has named Dublin-Laurens County as the newest Archway Partnership community!
Dublin-Laurens County has already been a great partner with UGA Public Service and Outreach units before — including Archway, the UGA Carl Vinson Institute of Government and the UGA Fanning Institute for Leadership — on some workforce development projects. We look forward to continue working on that issue, as well as some new ones the community would like to see addressed.
“The University of Georgia is extremely proud of the strong relationship we are building with Laurens County and the city of Dublin,” said UGA President Jere W. Morehead. “Together, we will work to ensure this community will continue to thrive for generations to come.”

This project was spearheaded by the 2022 Pulaski Tomorrow Adult Leadership class, a two-day retreat for board members, alumni and citizens focused on the creating a strategic plan with help from the J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development, as well as Downtown Hawkinsville.
In this collaborative process, Downtown Hawkinsville and Pulaski Tomorrow were able to use the student's designs as a way to coordinate and implement the new park.
Special thanks to Southern Environmental and Dixie Lawn & Landscaping who have helped this project come to fruition!

Vendor participation and customer visits to this season's Waynesboro Farmer's Market have increased this year, thanks in part to a marketing program created by University of Georgia Sustainability Certificate program students as part of the Archway Partnership in Burke.
The students worked with the Burke County School Nutrition Program, UGA Extension, and local community members to create on-line and physical marketing materials for market organizers to use on social media and to distribute to partnering businesses to promote the market.
Over 20 vendors have participated in the market this season, which operates every Thursday from 3:30PM - 5:30PM through mid-July at the Southern Bank Pavillion in Waynesboro.

University of Georgia Master of Public Administration students and faculty conducted a housing assessment for the City of Waynesboro this week.
The students inventoried over 2,200 residential and commercial structures in the city limits.
The finished survey will give city administrators a clear understanding of the condition of Waynesboro's homes and businesses, helping the city apply for funding and resources to repair blighted buildings and increase available workforce housing in the community.
We'd like to give a big thank you to the students and faculty from the UGA School of Public and International Affairs for working with us, as well as the Burke County officials who have helped lead this project.

The Archway Partnership was featured in this year’s College of Engineering capstone showcase.
Eight groups of students completed intensive, year-long capstone projects in five communities. These projects included a pedestrian bridge design, two public amphitheaters, park designs and sewer infrastructure issues.
The students’ work on these projects allows community leaders to explore infrastructure opportunities.
We’d like to thank The University of Georgia College of Engineering and our Archway and CRC communities for working with us on these projects!
