Out with the old, in with the new! I finally got around to updating my own website. This is a very broad stroke of capabilities, but I'm proud of the work we've done so far.

I'm thrilled to announce that my campaign of photos for Gleaner and Massey Ferguson received Honorable Mention in the 2023 International Photography Awards.

The campaign, entitled simply "Harvest", is comprised of some of my favorite pictures taken to date, so to be recognized by an international jury is a complete honor. A huge thank you goes out to Aaron Beyer, Adam Sills, and Matt LeCroy for their help in setting everything up, for hiring me, and for their unwavering support. (And for also not running me over.) This award is very much theirs also!

Siri, define irony...

Everyone who knows me knows I'm a huge Bama fan.

But I also live in Athens, Georgia, and I've been extremely fortunate to do work with the University of Georgia for several years now. And I have to say, they have a solid brand and brand standards. (And some of the nicest employees!)

While I was excited at the opportunity, I had to laugh a little when the UGA Franklin College of Arts and Sciences asked THE ONLY BAMA FAN IN ATHENS to design the concept truck for the The University of Georgia Redcoat Band.

This is only a concept as they prepare to raise $4 million for the Redcoat Band, but... who knows... maybe this will be reality one day?

Did you know that right now they rent trucks each week, the band members have to pay for their own uniforms and instruments, and they need improvements to their practice field? Also, I was surprised to learn that the Redcoat Band falls under Franklin College and not Athletics.

From this Bama fan... Glory, Glory to old Georgia. Go Dawgs. Roll Tide. Amen.

Road Mode, ENGAGE. Can you name all 3 models?!New cab, new baler, new accumulator? It's a match made in heaven. Hay is kind of our bread and butter around here, we provide the #1 industry leader in hay and are proud of it! If it ain't red, it's probably dead. ☠️

CANADIAN AGRICULTURE DAY

I'll be honest... I was today's years old when I found out this was a day. I haven't even taken my Toyotathon decorations down yet!

Kidding aside, I'm thankful for our Canadian farmer friends. I had the pleasure of following the Fendt Ideal across Western Canada before the pandemic and meeting some really great people. This particular photo was taken in a beautiful Alberta wheat field for AGCO.

Congratulations to the The Kansas City Chiefs for their comeback win over the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl.

While not recognized as much as Mahomes or other playmakers, the crew that preps their home field at Arrowhead Stadium deserves a lot of attention. The detail and love that they pour into preserving a flawless playing surface is top-notch.

I'm grateful to SiteOne Landscape Supply and this crew for allowing us to shoot on their home turf. It remains one of the most fun shoots to date.

Photo dump warning. It was a lot of fun capturing the Atlanta leg of the Winter Jam Tour Spectacular with The Jules Show and The JOY FM . I love being able to watch my wife do her thing (like introducing the radio station to 16,000 people here).

Last year I set a goal to do something with NASCAR. For some, it’s a stretch to go from agriculture to racing. For me, it’s just something on wheels and natural light.

But what if they merged? This week, I got to spend time with Ross Chastain, driver of the #1 car. But the most interesting thing… he is an 8th generation watermelon farmer. And that was the focus.

Ross, along with his brother, Chad, and father, Ralph, farm watermelons in the southwest Florida area (JDI Farms). They are such a humble and sweet family, and I enjoyed every minute with them.

Thank you to Kubota Tractor Corporation for allowing me this opportunity and to Lauren Emling and Trackhouse Racing for their hospitality.

And while I can’t share anything I shot (yet), you can enjoy this little BTS shot of Ross and me. And I guarantee I’ll be pulling for this guy from now on!

I’m excited to share that both of my entries into the New York Photography Awards won gold in their categories.

“Harvest” was a collection of images shot for AGCO containing Fendt, Massey Ferguson, and Gleaner.

The “Kubota 50th Anniversary” was a neat shoot for Kubota Tractor Corporation. Usually I’m shooting the newest equipment, so focusing on “poster shots” of antiques was a cool, unique shoot.

Thank you to both of these fantastic teams for having me out and for all of their work to make it happen. This is every much their award as well!

Wow, what a year. When I look back over 2022, I'm filled with gratitude. I traveled all over the US, worked with great teams (some of them new), met more farmers, and got to experience restaurants that weren't Applebee's (sometimes). And bonus... no chigger bites this year!

If you had told me in college this is what I'd be doing for a living, I would've laughed in your face. But man, I'm glad God orchestrated this path. I've loved working with the teams at AGCO, Massey Ferguson, Fendt, PRINOTH - Tracked Vehicles, Kubota Tractor Corporation, Newton Crouch Company, LLC and Norden Mfg.

There are too many to name, but thank you to all of the fantastic people from these teams that make my dream job possible. I look forward to 2023!

I wish you and yours a great Thanksgiving full of joy and quality family time.

I'm so thankful for the partners we get to work with. Life on the road can be tough. To the outside viewer, the late nights at Applebee's and the rolling through mud and chiggers can look ever so glamorous.

I've been fortunate, though, that I get to travel and work with awesome people who love and value the ag industry as much as I do. And I think the photo results reflect a genuine teamwork. If I'm going to be away from my family for weeks at a time, I'm blessed to do photo shoots with people I call friends.

Since I have no photo shoots planned for the remainder of 2022, I have time to reflect on these blessings. To my partners... from my family to you... THANK YOU!

Thank you to all of the brave men and women who have served (or still serving) in our military. We enjoy so many freedoms because of you, and it is not without notice or gratitude. May God bless you all.

Still on the fence about what to be for Halloween? May I suggest...

A few weeks ago, I mentioned that my images for Kubota Tractor Corporation's 50th Anniversary were Official Selections for the International Photography Awards. Last week, Kubota invited us to their annual Connect Event in Dallas, Texas where we got to see the images put to use. And the coolest part... they presented me with a coffee table book, complete with the history and the images!

Huge recognition goes out to the engineers (Justin Noland, Michael Svatek, Travis Tsunemori, Lance Taylor, and more) who restored these beautiful machines to not only showroom condition, but also working condition!

Many thanks to Todd Watlington and David Wrobel for having us at Connect and for this incredible book!

Office with a view.

I love fall, and I particularly love harvest season. There's a crispness in the air. It's not too hot, not too cold, but the colors just seem different in the fall. The leaves change, of course, but I feel like the sky is bluer and the sunsets are even more magnificent.

When you get to pilot a Gleaner S97 combine through an endless sea of corn, you get a great view of God's great creation. It sure beats sitting in a cubicle!

It deserves more than one day, but happy National Farmers Day. Thank you to all of the hard-working farmers and ag professionals that keep us all fed, clothed, and countless other contributions!

I'm proud to document farm equipment with AGCO (including Massey Ferguson, Fendt, and other brands), Kubota Tractor Corporation, Nichino America and Newton Crouch Company, LLC.

After seeing our work, Kubota Tractor Corporation invited us to their Texas ranch to shoot some equipment for their 50th Anniversary.

Their engineers acquired and restored over 19 tractors that will live in the Kubota museum.

These are just some of the pictures from that shoot. They’ve become a coffee table book, signage for the museum, and now an Official Selection in the 2022 International Photography Awards.

I’m super proud of these photos. Thank you, Todd Watlington, for entrusting us for this project!

I'm honored that my work with The JOY FM was recognized as an Official Selection by the International Photography Awards. It's been a blast traveling to these concerts with my wife and assisting this great radio station.

The pictures selected featured artists such as Jordan Feliz, Casting Crowns, Crowder Music, Matthew West, and Austin French to name a few.

How cool are these machines? The Prinoth Panther is capable of carrying heavy loads across all kinds of terrain. Here, they are carrying loads of dirt to build levees in Corpus Christi, Texas.

We got to spend some time with the great folks at PRINOTH - Tracked Vehicles this week in Corpus Christi, Texas. It was probably one of the hottest shoots I've ever been on, but what a fun experience. I can't wait to dig into the edits next week.
