Look out Southern Living Magazine, we are coming for the “Most Charming Neighborhood in the South” award! The Virginia Highland District Association is proposing a $600k project to bring a cohesive and elevated aesthetic to the historic North Highland Ave corridor through professional landscaping and lighting complemented by art, events, and amenities.

The North Highland Beautification Project scopes a 10-year vision to enhance the business district nodes from Morningside Village to Atkins Park. In these business district nodes you will see: 
* Warm white uplighting on trees year-round
* Self-watering hanging baskets and lush planters in front of every business
* Large in-ground landscapes/hardscapes along the corridor 
* Protected and newly landscaped tree beds
* Branded light pole banners

Get a great meal for a great cause! Dine with participating restaurants on the second Wednesday of each month from August to October, and 15% of your bill will be donated to the North Highland Beautification Project. Atkins Park hosts on September 11!
