From speaking with NGO youth providers at annual conference showing how The Teens Guide to Wealth programming can benefit their youth, to pouring into youth at 's Financial Literacy Day, last week ended off with a bang!!

Who would've thought the knucklehead kid who talked too much would be given so many opportunities to do just that, TALK?!?!

I thought I'd be a detective or a basketball player by this point in life, but you know they say "If you wanna make God laugh, tell Him your plans." 🤷🏿‍♂️

Loving the journey, God!!

Should we be teaching teens about life insurance 🤔

Here are some reasons children under 18 need to know about life insurance and why it matters 👇🏾

1. **Financial Education**: Life insurance introduces teens to essential financial concepts like compound interest and the Rule of 72, helping them develop financial literacy from an early age.

2. **Responsibility**: It teaches responsibility by making them aware of the importance of planning for their family's future.

3. **Tax Benefits**: Learning about the potential tax advantages of life insurance can help teens make informed financial decisions.

4. **Estate Planning**: Teens can appreciate how life insurance plays a role in estate planning and wealth transfer, especially since they're the ones inheriting all of this real estate, these businesses, and these investments.

5. **College Funding**: Teens can learn how life insurance can be used to fund college education if something were to happen to the breadwinners.

6. **Career Choices**: Understanding life insurance can influence their career choices, as some may consider careers in the insurance or financial industry.

7. **Financial Security**: Overall, it instills the value of financial security and responsible financial planning, setting them on a path toward a more financially stable future.

Teaching teens about life insurance early on (and long before anything happens) is a key part of holistic family financial education and planning for their future.

(Shameless plug: This is an excellent workshop topic if you have a group of teens and a great reason to order The Teens Guide to Wealth! We have a version that’s faith based and one that’s strictly financial education for schools.)

Happy !

How do Black Financial Advisors promote financial wellness and make a difference in the Black Community? 👇🏿

My perspective? It starts with our youth!

Teaching our young people about wealth, what it is, how to build it, AND how to keep it ensures that all the businesses, real estate, investments, and inheritance that's passed down to them stays and grows in the family!

Eric Harley, Rodney Bowden, Ryan Hawkins and I will be speaking about this on our panel moderated by Eugene Mitchell this week AAAA's National V.I.S.I.O.N. Conference in D.C. - see you there!!

Here's a quick question to consider as we go into a new month... 👇🏿

Was your answer "no" or "I'm not sure"? The start of a new month is always a great time to set a date to review your financial goals, create a financial plan with a licensed advisor, and take the steps to establish your insurance and retirement plans!

Was your answer "yes"? Having confidence in your financial plan is important! However, if you haven't reviewed your financial plan in the last few months, or things in your life have changed, the start of a new month could be a great time to take a look at your financial plan and consider making any changes.

Whether your answer was yes, no, or I'm not sure, financial planning is not a one-and-done activity. But, it is important to get it done!

Money "stuff" doesn't have to be confusing, boring, or all over the place. That's why one of my favorite questions to ask is... "what does financial clarity look and feel like to you?" Then, we can work toward it and build your financial house from the ground up!

If you've been looking for a sign, this is it!

My favorite ways to help you build wealth are from the kids to the grandparents so that together, we can truly build generational wealth:

1. Opening up ROTH IRA accounts and funding them on autopilot starting at $50/m. It's the easiest way to save for the future. And, the longer the account is open, the better! (Hint: young men should have their ROTH IRAs early!)

2. Teaching the young kings about W.E.A.L.T.H by adding a W.E.A.L.T.H. Playbook workshop to your programming. If we don't teach it to them, who will??

3. Hosting a financial house review as a family, team, group, or staff to start the conversation about money earlier and if there are any cracks in your financial plan, we can update them. Ya'll know I don't want you to be at retirement wishing, hoping, complaining and praying.

So, are you a 1, 2 or a 3??

You are one conversation (or comment away) from building wealth together! Schedule a time with me using the link in my bio or just comment below and I'll get in touch!

All things that our young men should know BEFORE they reach adult life!!

This was the first deadlift I've ever done (you can tell, right?!)

In 2019, I was around 165 pounds, soaking wet with Timbs on, and I wasn't happy with that. Did I do anything to change it though? No. Not right away.

Not sure if you can relate, I just had so many excuses I would give myself, "I don't have the time", "The gym's too far", "I'll start next week"... I wasn't measuring my food, I wasn't counting calories to see if I was even eating enough to gain any weight, and I DEFINITELY wasn't lifting weights consistently.

Finally, I decided, if I'm going to have all these tattoos, I should have some muscles under them 🤣 (and to stop being hard headed).

January 2020 was the beginning of the journey... The goal was to gain 30 pounds to start.

Now, I've never weighed 200 lbs in my life. Actually, I used to tell myself that I couldn't gain weight, no matter what I did.

Fast forward, the journey has taught me that "Slow and steady wins the marathon" not just with gaining health weight, with life in general!

It's amazing what the right exercises mixed with the right foods and just getting started will do!

I'm going to guess and say that there's probably a fitness goal weight you want to hit. If I'm right, I'd love for you to join me in a 10-day Fellas and Fitness Challenge!

It could be gaining, losing, or just maintaining your weight and getting healthier, if you want it, we can do it together!

As men, there are so many "things" that demand our attention on the daily, shouldn't we be the first on that list so we can always take care of the others?!

Comment "I'm in" or DM me for the details 💪🏿💪🏿
