As a part of Transgender Awareness Week, we want to take the time to remember those who have lost their lives to anti-transgender violence. We hope that everyone took this day to not only educate themselves on the past but to also provide support for the future. We will be posting some links to mutual aid funds/gofundme on our story.

Maya Wiseman (She/Her) is an Atlanta native heavily involved with planning events for the LGBTQ+ community for a number of years being a performer, artist & activist.📢🗣 Running the platform GlitterGayz & working with SFQP (Southern Fried Q***r Pride) Maya plans events that not only entertain, but also educate & feed LGBTQ+ community.❤️ She performs and organizes community clothing swaps & dinners.🏳️‍🌈

She calls everyone to ‼️“Know how hard the holidays can be for marganized people & because it is so important to understand others... Don’t be someone else around the table that is making a family member or person you love feel like they can’t be themselves”‼️

Hayris Panchi (She/Her) is an Hermana of Sigma Lambda Upsilon/Señoritas Latinas Unidas Sorority, Inc.💃 She is a sophomore at GSU studying History with a concentration in Pre-Law.🏛 As a q***r person of color Hayris strives to center QTBIPOC in her activism and life.

Jaye Patel (she/her), identifies as a le***an. She is a junior double majoring in English and Marketing and a first-generation American of Indian descent. 🇺🇸🇮🇳 Her favorite part of the holidays is the lights and the festive sweets, like cookies and gingerbread houses. 🍪

Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, Ricardo Bujanda (He/Him) moved to Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua causing a huge spin on his American life now learning about the Mexican culture and adapting to its surroundings.🇲🇽 Ricardo finds his true calling in Classical Dance and starts his career In Ballet Training. Currently studying under the Direction of Barbara Navarra at Escuela Ballet de Monterrey, Ricardo had a great insight into what's the holidays like living in another country and keeping its identity as a reference to today's society. 💛
