Shesh, It is hot out there! 🥵 What are you doing to stay cool?

This is a reminder to stay hydrated with the rising temperatures!

Here are some tips:
1️⃣ Don’t wait until you’re thirsty to drink. By the time you feel thirsty, you’re already slightly dehydrated. Sip water throughout the day! 🥤

2️⃣ Stay inside when it gets too hot. On very hot days, stay inside in an air-conditioned environment. Plan outdoor activities for early in the morning or late in the evening, to avoid the times of day when it is the hottest and the sun’s rays are the strongest.🌞

3️⃣Eat water-rich fruits and vegetables like watermelon, strawberries, peaches, pineapples, cucumbers, leafy greens, celery, tomatoes, AND MORE! 🍉🥒🥬

4️⃣ Be aware of your body and the signs that it gives you. Symptoms of dehydration include dry mouth/skin, fatigue, irritability, and confusion. Try to stay ahead of these! Don’t wait for signs of dehydration to appear.

Our Public Safety Officers were able to engage with the students through active reading. 📖 📚
We always appreciate the opportunity to work with students of Atlanta and further engage with our community, one child at a time!
