The foundation was formed to honor my husband Eric, who passed away from pancreatic cancer September 5, 2021 and to continue his legacy of producing cutting edge jazz performances. The foundation will give a portion of the proceeds to support organizations focused on pancreatic cancer early detection and testing and childhood music education.

Thinking about the next events for to raise awareness, provide access and advocacy for pancreatic cancer.
Yesterday reported on preliminary findings from the investigational vaccine approach published in . Even though in its early stages, we’re encouraged by the findings. Even though the idea for this trail was launched in Germany, researchers at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York extracted patients tumors and shipped them to Germany to produce personalized vaccine. Our question is were any of theses patients from minority communities? Africa-Americans have the highest incidence of pancreatic cancer than any other racial group. Our hope that this highly impacted and limited access group were part of this study. As a matter of fact we will ask that question.
