What an amazing and fun day the Tools for Life team had with The AbleGamers Foundation yesterday!
Tools for Life, Georgia's AT Act Program, was honored to host a few of the staff from AbleGamers as they shared information about accessible gaming, including settings within game consoles and controllers. The team even got the chance to check out the new PlayStation Access controller, designed with people with disabilities in mind and make gaming more accessible!

The Accessible Workplace Lab develops new workplace technologies and strategies that maximize the independence and participation of people with disabilities in the workplace. The lab provides educational products and resources to support those trying to improve workplace accessibility.
Often, universally designed assistive technology does not fully match the individual needs of those with disabilities. CIDIโs Assistive Technology works with individuals to identify appropriate assistive technology and develops tools and resources to aid others with this decision-making process
The Digital Accessibility & UX team at the CIDI performs Usability Training regularly to see how well a certain piece of assistive technology functions with users to recognize if any changes or accommodations need to be made to better fit individual demands

Our team makes media fully accessible for individuals with vision-related disabilities by adding vivid, succinct, and objectively narrated descriptions of prescient visual content.
The disability population has often been excluded from biomedical research. Just as people with disabilities have often been excluded, systemic barriers exist that slow the growth of disability and health researchers.
The All of Us Research Program is both recruiting underrepresented populations to enroll in the program, including people with disabilities, and is supporting the expansion of disability and health researchers.
