Just a warning to all of you out there looking for a Birman cat or kitten. There is a proliferation of scam Facebook sites offering Birmans for the holidays. There are a limited number of actual Birman breeders, and we know most of them. Be cautious and check with a known, reputable breeder before engaging with someone. Same rules apply as any new internet relationship..don’t trust until verified.

The big show is over and Charit completed her Grand with a Best LH and a 3rd Best LH final on Saturday.

Look for signs that read Cats or Kittens for sale. Please note that all kittens (except rescue kitties) must be 4 months old to be in the show hall.

This is our sweet boy, Howdy Doody. If you ever have or will come to our house he will greet you at the door. That's his job and he got the right name for it. He is our hero cat. About 5 years ago he got large cell lymphoma and, if you don't know, that is almost always fatal. He took a year of treatment for that awful disease and has been in remission since November of 2019! He's a miracle! Now he's committed another of his 9-lives to getting over wet FIP. He's about 3/4 of the way through his 84 days of treatment which involves daily shots with a medication which is largely successful and his mid-treatment check up was very positive but we're not done yet. Golden Seal Popcorn, aka Poppy. Just as cute as ever. She is up to 71 points towards her grand. Now to find a show I can get to for her to win the other 4 points she needs to grand in Premiership which will also earn a Distinguished Merit designation for her mother, Katie. 🤞🤞🤞

Sorry to report that Poppy's baby came several days early and was "born sleeping." I think that will be our last attempt to breed her. She has just had a long unsuccessful ordeal. I will spay her and hope to show her so if I can grand her she will be the fifth offspring for Katie to do so and earn a Distinguished Merit award for her mother.
Charit on the other hand is doing well and we hope that she will have a nice litter in late Nov. Her daughter just had 4 kittens last weekend so that's a plus as well.
Unfortunately breeding isn't all cute kittens and fun. There are hard and sad parts as well. Hopefully they are offset by the good parts.

Cheers Birman enthusiasts. We are reporting a confirmed pregnancy of one (1) kitten with our chocolate tortie girl, Poppy. She is due in the range of Oct. 21 or so. If we are lucky, this kitten will live and prosper. Poppy has had a checkered breeding career and we are thrilled and hopeful that she will carry this kitten to term and deliver it safely. Stay tuned. Also we have repeated the breeding for our lovely lilac girl, Charit, who gave us 6 kittens last year. We're just hoping for 2-4 this year. We will know more in a couple of weeks about whether that breeding was successful. Dad for both litters is the handsome Oreo, a seal boy who carries blue and chocolate.😻❤

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!

Thank you for your interest in our current litter. All are spoken for at this time and will be leaving between now and mid-January.
We do expect to have litters next year (2021) and will let you all know when we know what and when. As for pricing we have to review that on an annual basis given our costs for the preceding year. Kittens from this year's litter were $1200. We do not keep a wait list as such so unless you are a previous owner of one of our kitties you will have to join the line when the next announcement is made. I'll try to put up some photos from this litter as they prepare to go to their new homes.

Meet the Breeds | The Birman

Ideally, the Birman is a medium-sized cat, strongly built cat with striking eyes, round face, and a Roman-shaped nose which all result in a pleasing expression. They are well known for their unique gloves and laces, white markings required on all four feet.

The Birman is sociable, gentle, quiet, loving, and companionable. Birmans are very helpful; they love helping you make beds, load the dishwasher, fold laundry, read the newspaper, and work on the computer. They are a willing participant in whatever you do. You will never be alone with a Birman in your home.

Ok folks, the news you've been waiting for: we think we have two girls pregnant. If you have already contacted me then you need to do nothing further. If you haven't already contacted me it's unlikely I will have a kitten for you this go around. If something changes there I'll let you know. The litters we are expecting will be born in early August. Keep an eye out on this page and I'll let you know when to contact me again, but I'm very hopeful we can deliver both of these litters successfully. One should be a red factor litter and the other should be a seal/blue litter. You can help by keeping your fingers crossed along with ours. 🤞🤞❤️❤️😻😻

Here I am with GC/GP Golden Seal Katiedid (now also a RW). We are sorry that the Wuhan virus has caused the cat fancy to cancel cat shows until June but glad that Katie will place as probably #15 in the southern region in premiership for the 2019-20 show season and will likely be the 2nd best Birman in premiership in the US for the same season. Katie loves to show so can't wait for the shows to return so she can go again!

Well, we're going to try again. After our last effort to breed Poppy and Malcolm failed I put them together yesterday and saw some action. Guess we'll have to wait 3 more weeks to see what the result was. If we don't get any good results this time I will have to try to find another boy for Poppy. Fingers crossed!!😻
