similarities throughout their lives and sheds light on the threads of abuse,

Tiffany shows how faith, fortitude and her love story has moved her family
into the future. Through trials and tribulations, each woman in Tiffany Green-
Abdullah's The Bean Pie is forced to confront their own ideas of gender, race,
religion, mental illness, and the healing power of love, revealing how four

The fashion of the Harlem Renaissance was a reflection of the changing social and cultural attitudes of the time. Women's fashion included flapper dresses, cloche hats, and long pearl necklaces. The men's included tailored suits and fedoras. These women are keeping it modest with these dresses, hats and scarves.
