We are saddened to have learned of the passing of Randy Dobbs yesterday evening.

Randy coached the Woofs Wackers and Woofs Pounders softball teams for many seasons in the Hotlanta Softball League. His joy for the game, and encouragement for his team left countless memories for many. We appreciate all he did for our community.

We send his family and friends our deepest condolences.

Our Story

Established in 2002, Woofs has been the nations leader in full service sports bars serving the gay community. Woofs grew out of Gregory’s infamous Superbowl parties from 1993-2002. In November of 2002, Bill, Gary & Gregory, opened Woofs on Piedmont. Gary ran the daily activities of woofs, Bill and Gregory keep their day jobs. At the end of 2015 Bill & Gary decided to retire. Gregory took over the daily activities, and after 17 years in our old location, moved Woofs to Plasters Ave in July 2019. Since we were no longer on Piedmont Rd, the name was changed to Woofs Sports Bar.

We are proud to offer up to 12 different sporting events at one time on our 22 televisions. Join us for all NFL games are shown via Directv Extra Ticket in addition to all available college football games on major networks, including the ACC, Big Ten & SEC networks. Woofs kitchen features great food and is open 11:30AM to 10PM Su-Th, 11PM Fri & Sat. Daily food specials Monday through Thursday. Darts, and Lottery games are available for your enjoyment.
