The St. Martin's Honor Society inducted 16 new 8th-grade members this morning. Congratulations SMES inductees for this exemplary academic achievement. By accepting membership, students pledged to uphold the high ideals of the St. Martin's Code of Conduct.
Due to worsening weather conditions overnight and continued dropping temperatures throughout the day, St. Martin's campuses will be CLOSED today. All after-school activities are canceled, and there will be no Explorers. Please be safe.
C-O-N-G-R- A-T-U-L-A-T-I-O-N-S to the Middle School Spelling Bee winner Lila B. (7th-grade) and runner-up Carson K. (8th-grade) with the winning word of “maggot.” Thye both will now represent St. Martin's during the first round of the GISA Spelling Bee. Great job to all middle school participants!
MS Band students traveled to Orlando to perform at the Universal Studios STARS Performance Program. Students had the cool opportunity to learn an instrumental excerpt from the 'Secret Life of Pets' movie that was synced to the film! Students had a blast at Universal Studios and were thrilled to stop by Bucees on their way home!
Third-grade religion classes at SMES marked the New Year by 'chalking the entryway' of each division. They blessed each entryway with " 20 C+M+B 24," representing the new year and the names of the wise men who followed the star to find Christ. It also represents the Latin phrase "Christus Mansionem Benedicat" which means "Christ bless this dwelling." The plus signs represent the cross of Jesus.

Our annual Lessons and Carols service was the perfect send-off for students, faculty and staff before the Christmas break. Highlights included performances from the lower school choir and the faculty choir.
4th-grade students teamed up with the Suthers Center to collect socks. blankets, puzzles, games and holiday items, spreading warmth and joy to those in need this holiday season.
8th graders took a well-deserved break from exams to enjoy some hot chocolate and co****le at the head of school's house!
Fourth and fifth-grade band and chorus students spread holiday cheer to friends and family at the annual Christmas concert. From "Jingle Bells to "Ode to Joy'' to a sing-along of "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" students showcased their skills!
Every Who down in Whoville liked Christmas a lot. But the Grinch who lived just north of Whoville did not! But in 2nd grade today, Cindy Lous and Maxes and Grinches enjoyed a day of living in Whoville right here at St. Martin's. Merry Christmas to all!
A heartfelt thank you to the SMES PTO for sweetening students' days with delicious cookies and treats and bringing the magic of Santa Claus to students for the annual Cookies and Carols event!
MS students spread holiday cheer with a festive holiday performance. Holiday classics such as "Joy to the World," "Jolly Old St. Nicholas" and "Jingle Bells" were played by band and handbell students. There was a special chorus performance of "Christ Child Lullaby."

Oh, what fun! SMES third-graders turned socks, rice and other materials into the most adorable snow friends for a fun winter activity.
Kindergarten students brought the magic of Christmas to life with their heartwarming telling of the Nativity story. Students dressed as angels, shepherds, kings and animals to tell the Nativity story. Students performed an array of songs such as "To Bethlehem," "Come See the Newborn King" and "Hallelujah, He is Born!"

During this morning's Eucharist Chapel service, Mr. White, LS religion teacher gave a compelling sermon on faithfulness to LS and MS students. Students received communion or a blessing from Father Duke.

St. Martin's welcomed Early Childhood grandparents and special friends to campus. They enjoyed an adorable performance in the chapel visited classrooms, making it the perfect Thanksgiving send-off.
The St. Martin's boys' and girls' basketball teams showcased their skills at State Farm Arena. They played against Eagle's Landing Christian School on the Hawks' home court in an exciting scrimmage, the SMES community gathered to support both teams. Way to go, Warriors!
