Sign ups for Hammerschlagen are from 5:30 - 6 pm. Just find Red next to the stump out in the beer garden. Free to play, must be 21+.

⚒️Hammerschlagen Rules⚒️
🔨Players take turns hammering their nail into the stump.
🔨Whoever hammers their nail flush to the wood first, or gets the closest after 10 swings, wins.
🔨The hammer cannot be raised above the player’s head.
🔨You can only use one hand. The other must be placed behind your back.
🔨You must keep your hand behind the line on the hammer.
🔨If a nail gets bent, the player can straighten it on their next turn.
🔨Vintage steins for the top three folks!

LIVE PAINTING & CATLANTA KITTEN DROP
Catlanta and Drew Borders will be live painting in the beer garden, and we’ve heard there will be a KITTEN DROP. Put your scavenger huntin’ pants on!

ADULT COLORING COMPETITION
Who can color the best? This ain’t your 4th-grade art class, and you don’t even need to color in the lines, but you do have to get creative. Snag an EAKC coloring sheet and some colored pencils, and create your magic. All sheets must be turned in by 8 pm, and a panel of judges (including Catlanta, Drew Borders, and our very own District 1 Jason Winston) will crown the 2024 EAKC Adult Coloring Champion. Anyone can color, but you must be 21+ to win the prize (it’s a crown).

A $5 donation to World Central Kitchen (WCK) or Intown Cares is suggested, or bring 2 non-perishable, non-expired food items for your entry.

This is the third year the GSU Neuroscience PhD students have hosted trivia at Red’s. Their mission? To collaborate with the community, translating neuroscience research into relevant service and policy efforts. We love ‘em! Come support ‘em!

You know how we all met?

Back in 2021, Douglas and Dewey (aka Olive and Agatha) were putting on a drag show at Arches in Hapeville, while Red was *trying* to dream up a drag event that was a little different from the usual. She found them via a google search, shot um an email and… crickets. After two months of silence, Red figured it just wasn’t meant to be.

One afternoon, Douglas and Dewey stroll into Red’s, not in drag, just as customers. After they got settled and enjoyed their food, Red decided to say hi to some new folks. After intros, Douglas and Dewey told Red that the beer garden was a cool spot, and they did interactive drag shows and wanted to talk about maybe putting something together. Red barely said it better than, "Wait… Are you the queens I emailed who… never responded?" Cue the awkward—turns out, the email had landed in their spam folder, and they had no idea Red was interested in a drag event two months ago - they just came for a hotdog.

Douglas and Dewey are all about making folks feel seen and leaving them with a brighter soul. Red opened a beer garden for those exact moments to thrive. Fast forward: Q***r Quiz kicked off at Red’s in March 2022. Not long after, Douglas and Dewey asked Red’s to be a food vendor for their Arches Drag Bingo. During one of those bingos slingin’ dogs, Red casually mentioned to Dewey how fun a 1960s-inspired variety show would be, and boom, Mystery Monday was born.

Since then, they’ve become the kind of friends who hang out at each other’s houses, and most recently - with Red and Douglas hootin’ and hollerin’ at roller derby while Ed and Dewey stayed home and read a book.

So yeah, we owe this whole awesome, lovely relationship to a missed email. Thank you, Gmail Spam preferences.

Celebrate National Dog Day a few days late with us! We’ll have adoptable dogs in the beer garden and Cool Pups Creamery will be in our coolers for the pups. PAWS Atlanta will bring adoptable dogs, and if you mention PAWS Atlanta at checkout, 10% of your bill will be donated.

We love a good adoption story, like Lindsey’s. She wasn’t planning on adopting another pet so soon after losing her cat, but her friend invited her to a dog adoption at Red’s 3 years ago. A little pup came up to her, immediately rolled over for belly rubs, and voilà! The rest is history. Louie is Lindsey’s constant companion, joining her on road trips and every Q***r Quiz at Red’s.

🚨 Benteen Park + Grant Park: Labor Day Sunday 🚨

We’re teaming up with our friends at green Beans for a morning pop-up you didn’t know you needed! We’ll be rolling into Green Beans on Sunday, September 1st at 9:30 am, slingin’ classic beef and veggie hotdogs—because it’s Labor Day weekend and you know Joey Chestnut is eating a hotdog before 10 am. Grab a bud, stand in a line, and toss a hotdog back and forth. Heck yeah! Last year’s 1st place team with at least a 60 yard throw was Single and Ready to Mingle, Garrett ‘Find Me a Lady’ McPherson and Bacon is Good for Me, Mark ‘The King’ Curtis.

There may or may not be surprise modification, due to the lack of car wash. No sign-ups, just show on up. ALL AGES! Winners get pretty cool beer swag.
