Please, no!
Car seats are designed to snap into a vehicle base or a stroller – not a shopping cart. The baby is at risk of falling from a shopping cart and the car seat could be damaged in a mishap. Instead, you can place the car seat in the shopping cart or wear the baby, but never put the car seat on top of the shopping cart.

Fun times teaching little ones how to walk and ride safely in Norcross!
Before they get behind the wheel, ensure that you tweens practice being good passengers.
Tweens need to practice vehicle safety as well. Make sure your children ages 9- 12 are buckled up safely in the back seat before beginning your trip.
Regardless of what sport you love or play this summer, the all kids should learn is swimming and water competency.
Drowning is the number one killer of toddlers in America, which means water competency is more than just a sport; it's a vital survival skill.
Our campaign has one goal, encouraging parents and caregivers everywhere to consider swimming and water competency the first priority before enrolling their kids in other extra curricular activities.

It’s ASK (Asking Saves Kids) Day. Firearm injuries have surpassed motor vehicle crashes as the leading cause of death to children. Normalize the conversation about safe firearm storage with other parents of your kids’ friends before a visit. Ensure their fi****ms are secured and stored out of reach before agreeing to a play date. Georgia ranks 6th in the nation for unintentional child shootings.
When planning for road trips, be sure all of your passengers are riding safely. It’s always great to have an extra set of eyes taking a look at your car seats to make sure they’re used correctly. This month, the CDC released its new Vital Signs Report that compares recent annual drowning death rates by age, s*x, and race/ethnicity. According to the CDC, drowning increased by 28% among children ages 1–4 in 2022 compared to 2019. Drowning is the leading cause of death for this age group. As we head into summer, we want to encourage parents and caregivers to enroll their children in swim lessons! Swimming is a valuable water survival skill that they can take with them into adulthood. Those 5 seconds could be life-altering. Please put away the phone while driving.
Put the phone down and watch out for pedestrians. Sending or reading a short text takes your eyes off the road for almost 5 seconds. At 55 mph, that’s like driving the length of a football field with your eyes closed!
If your car seats are on your Spring cleaning list, make sure to double-check your manual for cleaning instructions. Manufacturers will provide guidance on safe cleaning techniques for their seats. An additional tip is to snap some photos as you remove the cover, so you know where all the elastic and snaps attach when you reassemble your clean car seat cover.

LATCH stands for Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children.
The LATCH system of attaching car seats to vehicles is found in most vehicles manufactured after 2002. It consists of two lower anchor points and one top tether anchor point that accept attachments found on a car seat. LATCH provides another safe way to install a car seat. But with almost all car seats, LATCH and seat belts should not be used together.
