Earlier this week, we introduced our seasonal candle, Open Studio–perfect for an early morning energy boost, waking up the senses and preparing you for the day.
If Open Studio carries you through the day, our new core candle, Nightcap, will ease you into the evening. With notes of star anise, and clove, and subtle hints of mint and cascarilla bark peaking through, this candle is inspired by the namesake of our Amaro glaze.
Herbaceous, citrusy, medicinal, and bitter. Nightcap is our first kitchen candle, burn after cooking to clear the air!
Mark your calendars! 🔥
For our first East Fork Workshop launch of 2024, we’ll be releasing a limited number of Incense Holders in Daylily, all hand-thrown by Mike Ball.
The East Fork Workshop was founded in the spring of 2019 to provide a perfect platform to play, experiment, get weird, hone in on what works and what doesn’t, and troubleshoot new forms that might one day end up in our line.
Available tomorrow online and in stores at 11am ET!
Lamb’s Ear and Daylily are here!
Make everyday feel like a garden retreat with our new collection of pots and tabletop items, available through spring and summer.
Ripe cantaloupe, sunstone, a slice of turmeric root. A blazing, juicy orange.
Will you be adding Daylily to your collection?
Introducing… Lamb’s Ear and Daylily. Our new seasonal colors arrive this Saturday at 11am ET online and in stores.
Our current and former community partners continue to do amazing work and are consistently being recognized for it. Amy Cantrell, co-director of Beloved, with whom we have partnered on multiple occasions, has been honored as a USA Today Woman of the Year!
East Fork partnered with Beloved in 2022 and 2023. During these partnerships, we raised over $131,000, supporting Beloved to purchase the materials needed for the Beloved Village project they are working on. Beloved also shared that many of those donations turned into monthly donors, which it’s a huge impact for small grassroots organizations.
Congratulations, Amy - this recognition is well-deserved!
Soulful manufacturing is one of the guiding principles behind making our pots. When we add other home and tabletop items to our collections, we strive to build relationships with makers who are cast from the same mold.
Hayden Wilson is a second-generation glass artist who owns and operates a private glass studio tucked away in the mountains of Asheville, North Carolina. Hayden is the maker behind an exclusive line of glassware, made to pair perfectly with our pots!
Learn more about and the product he makes at the link in our bio.

Before our full spring/summer seasonal collection drops, we’re bringing you some of the best gardening objects we could find, from other makers we admire.
Mouth-blown glass bulb vases, hand-forged Japanese gardening tools, and flower arranging gear will help get you all ready and prepped for digging in the dirt.
And after what feels like a very long, gray winter, that sounds like just the medicine we need.

We talk a lot about holding, both literally and as metaphor. When we hold a favorite pot, or absent-mindedly run our fingers across a beautiful wood grain or table linen, it’s an opportunity to interact with materials that ground us even while our mind may be a thousand miles away. The smooth-yet-bumpy, textured surface of our Crawl Glaze vessels make excellent daydream companions or creativity incubators–they’ve become objects we hold while our imaginations roam.

For everybody that loves earthy vibes, our Grounding Candle Sampler features two small candle scents, Odd Woods and Forage Moon. After we light one of these, it automatically feels like we just finished a refreshing hike on a mossy trail…it’s the perfect way to bring the outdoors in.
Designed in collaboration with Joya Studios in Brooklyn, we carefully consider the fragrance profile of our candles to get just the right balance of notes for the overall feeling we want to evoke.
There’s nuance and complexity to adding a touch of cedar here, a hint of hinoki there, and as different iterations of fragrance samples emerge, we fine-tune until we capture the essence of our initial idea.
It’s a fun, creative process, and we hope you enjoy the end result as much as we do!
What’s your favorite EF candle scent?

“The way of the flower,” or Ikebana, offers the beauty of slowing down to create a living work of art for the home and table. It’s a Japanese practice of flower arranging that’s guided by seven principles: silence, minimalism, shape, form, humanity, aesthetics, and structure. Not only does Ikebana bring a meditative quality to the act of placing flowers in a vessel, it allows us to form sculpture-like shapes that fully engages our senses, giving our imaginations space to roam.
We love to use flower frogs with the art of Ikebana. They’re a highly affordable little tool that basically turns almost any vessel into a vase, opening a world of options to create stunning floral arrangements. And, a word to the wise: our flower frogs fit in all our vessels.
Drop your favorite flower in the comments! 🪻

Potheads, the wait is over. Vessels in Crawl Glaze launch in stores and online starting today at 11 am ET.
What will your Crawl Glaze vessel hold?
Post description: Three Crawl Glaze vessels in different sizes in a surreal deep teal setting.
Prepare for landing! Our exclusive, limited line of vessels in Crawl Glaze drops Saturday, February 17th at 11 am ET.
Alex, our CEO and Co-founder, says Crawl Glaze is “probably the farthest from our roots we’ve traveled; it’s weird and wonderful, and feels surprisingly lovely in the hand.”
The vessels in Crawl Glaze have Night Swim interiors, and are perfect to use as vases, kitchen storage, toothbrush holders, or anything else you can dream up.

‘Tis the season for celebrating love of all flavors. Dinner for two, self-care night for one, or a chaotic mealtime with the family, whatever your take on Valentine’s day, a table set with red pots make it just a little more special.
Don’t forget to tag us and share the love!
Night Swim & Molasses head back into the vault soon. If you were waiting to add these colors to your dinnerware collections, now’s the time.
We still have Night Swim & Molasses Side Plates, Cake Plates, and Ice Cream Bowls left on the shelves to bring (even more) joy to your dessert or snack situation. And there’s some Night Swim Soup Bowls, Molasses Coupes & Popcorn Bowls left, too.
Don’t miss these gems! What will you add to your shelf?

If we truly do “eat first with our eyes,” then our quintessential Dinner Plate makes every slice of frozen pizza, pile of microwave nachos, or slab of roast beef into a thing of beauty.

Richmond and beyond! Grab a bud, cue up your playlists, and head over to to shop Seconds pots at our pop-up on Saturday, February 10th from 10am-3pm.

.outright lives into “brave space” every week as the community works to fulfill their mission of supporting Q***r and Trans youth in Western North Carolina.
We love the way they unequivocally express who they are, and the way they take a stand for joy.
The community throws a prom, facilitates educational and relationship-building conversations, leads a GSA youth conference, hosts gatherings to make art and play games, and more. By donating to Youth OUTright, you’re helping to create safe, affirming spaces like these for LGBTQIA+ youth to belong, and we think spaces like these save lives.

Hi friends, it’s Ha Nguyen, East Fork’s VP of Sales & Marketing. I’ve been with EF for a bit but a newbie to our Instagram. Our team is thrilled that Henri’s Red has stuck around for Lunar New Year! Since these vibrant, poppy red pots launched, I knew they would be perfect for piles of chả giò, bánh tét and fruit served as offerings to ancestors, a tradition of Tết, the Vietnamese festival of the new year.
Celebrations vary across asian culture, but so much of this holiday is centered around abundance. An abundance of food, flowers, gifts and treats… Reds! Golds! It’s all so over the top. But it’s our way of manifesting good luck, health and fortune for the coming year.
As a refugee and immigrant, the idea of manifesting your future and living in a space of hope and optimism is so much more than desire for wealth or fortune. It’s about searching for safety, security, the opportunity to live as your truest self. It’s a reminder that I’m here standing on the shoulders of my ancestors and graced by the sacrifices of those who came before.
- 🍊Ha Nguyen, VP of Sales & Marketing
Image description: Henri’s Red pottery rests against velvety pink fabric. Flowers, fruit, and candy also dot the bright and welcoming scene.
Our holiday baking traditions typically include giant trays full of snickerdoodles, gingerbread people, and peanut butter blossoms. If yours do too, maybe it’s time to give your baking setup a refresh with the addition of some helpful bowls.
Made just for East Fork, our Walnut Nesting Bowls were turned by the Holland Bowl Mill, near the shores of Lake Michigan. The 9-inch bowl makes a great bowl for a vegetable side or a salad for 1. The 12-inch bowl is your perfect 2-5 person family salad bowl, or setting the eggs on the counter to bring them to room temperature. The 15-inch bowl is the one you'll bring to a holiday dinner party or fill with winter root vegetables.
We love them for their functionality and easy, breezy, no-pretense beauty…the grain on these bowls are phenomenal.
Image description: From overheard, a Bitty Bowl, Walnut Bowl, Soup Bowl, and Ice Cream Bowl rest on a wooden surface. They’re filled with baking ingredients. A waffle weave napkin and a White Oak Cutting board are beside the bowls.
Heads up! Get all your pots and kitchen items ordered next week to receive them before December 25th (if you reside in the contiguous US).
We adore 1) a palette of earthy neutrals 2) breakfasts in the warm sunlight, and 3) you getting your pottery in time to be all wrapped up and handed to the people you love.
Thank you for the gorgeous photo!

A small bowl of persimmons and a potted plant also rests on the table, and a cozy couch is in the background.
For one lucky Claymate, we’re dubbing 2024 the “Year of The Mug” and giving away an entire year’s supply of mugs. Yep, you heard that right.

When you give them $20 off their first East Fork order, you’re automatically entered to win.
The winner will receive a mug-a-month in our new seasonal colors, along with colors hand-selected from our core collection. We’re even throwing in some wheel-thrown, East Fork Workshop mugs into the mix.

Welcome to Sagittarius season, a time for our imaginative, thrill-seeking friends to come out and play ♐️
The Mixing Bowl in Henri’s Red is the only form big and bold enough to match this lively time of year. Symbolized by the adventurous archer, it felt right to include our customized bread bow and board with a serrated knife as sharp as a Sagittarian’s wit!
The footed egg cup made out of artisanal Italian pewter is small enough to fit into a backpack and durable enough to last a lifetime, much like our heavyweight organic cotton t-shirts that are ready for whatever adventure is around the corner.
Last but not least, the cast iron salt and pepper set is there to add a little seasoning (or a lot) because we know Sagittarians are always ready to sprinkle in a hot take or two!
Sagittarians, are any of these items on your wishlist this holiday season? Let us know how we did in the comments…
Image description: A graphic featuring a Mixing Bowl in Henri’s Red, bread bow and cutting board, cast iron salt and pepper shakers, pewter egg cup with an egg in it, East Fork T-shirt, two hands cradling a magic 8ball, glistening disco ball, a globe, magnifying glass, sea foam green roller skates and a drawn on Sagittarius constellation.
Dubbed by our community as “earthy and romantic” and “moody and intriguing,” our candle scents are a unique way to feel the joy of a hike in the woods or the relaxation of a balmy beach vacation without leaving the comfort of home.
With the small candle’s 25 hour burn time, and the large candle clocking in at an impressive 60 hours, that’s many, many, many moments of evening makeouts, full moon meditations, ambient dinner parties and weekend tidy-ups.
These candles make excellent gifts, especially for that “hard to buy for” person on your list.
Which scent would you like to receive?

Most of us at Team East Fork would agree that our tabletops bring us joy. Swapping out dinnerware colors, adding gorgeously designed flatware to a place setting, or filling the table with candles is an act of hospitality that we gift ourselves and those who join us for a meal or a simple cup of afternoon-pick-me-up coffee. The objects don’t define the moment, but they can serve to enhance what we’ve already brought to it. Our presence.
We curated several collections of gift guides for a variety of tabletop aesthetic preferences, so whether you’re shopping for mom or your best friend, you can find something joyful to bring to their table.
