Dr. Johnny L. Evans Jr. will serve as interim president of College of Coastal Georgia. Evans steps in as President Michelle R. Johnston has been named president of Georgia Southwestern State University. Coastal Georgia’s provost since 2019, he has championed transformative educational experiences that build student success.

Honored to share that the University System of Georgia and the Georgia National Guard were among six community partnerships from across the nation honored recently at the Pentagon for work to foster military career access for students. A big thank you to Dalton State President John Fuchko, a decorated colonel with Georgia National Guard, who was on hand to accept the award on USG’s behalf.
