I spoke with survivors, and the closest friend of the sole decedent of the May 3rd, 2023 Midtown Mass Shooting. In total, 5 women were shot, one of which died. This story is weeks worth of interviews, collecting data, combing through video and then sharing the incredible story of loss, bravery and healing from those who experienced it first hand. : Atlanta News First has obtained video of a crash and subsequent shooting by Georgia State Patrol Troopers today near Grant Park. The GBI is investigating the shooting and law enforcement has said the suspect -who was shot- was running from police and is recovering in the hospital. Atlanta News First

Man shot by troopers after car crash near Grant Park, GBI says Troopers were involved in a pursuit near the Grant Park neighborhood which ended in an exchange of gunfire, officials said.
