Go Malia! Malia is a 12-year-old from the British Virgin Islands. She suffers from Blount’s Disease. Her journey began in 2019 with leg surgery in Saint Vincent, and now, under Dr. Miller's care at Shriners Hospital St. Louis, she's receiving the care she needs and working very hard to get there! Malia adores family time, basketball, and the beach. Her treatment involves an external fixator to correct a leg length discrepancy and rigorous physical therapy. She's hopeful this will make her taller and boost her basketball prowess. This journey is made possible thanks to the support from Oracle Health Foundation, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Shriners Hospital, and Mercy Medical Angels. Let's cheer Malia for all the hard work she is doing!
