Krystella, a brave 16-year-old from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, has returned to the US for another eye surgery. After telehealth appointments with her Saint Louis doctors, while she was at home, they recommended a return trip. Over the summer, the medical team corrected the initial problem, a fistula behind her eye, this next surgery is intended to realign it, moving her closer to a complete recovery. Her father, Mac, is by her side as she receives care with the dedicated team of Dr. Osbun, Dr. Couch, and Dr. Gervasio at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Krystella's care is made possible thanks to the generous support of The Maria Holder Memorial Trust, Ronald McDonald House of Charities St. Louis, Mercy Medical Angels, and St. Louis Children's Hospital.
Meet Carlos, a true survivor
In 2006, when he was less than a year old, he and his mother embarked on a life-changing journey from Cartagena to Bogotá, Colombia for his life-saving heart surgery. In this heartwarming photo, Carlos is holding the newspaper clipping that captures their journey, filled with hope and gratitude for the incredible support they received from Childspring International, a subsidiary of WPP, in collaboration with Tiéndele La Mano a un Niño, alongside dedicated doctors. Today, Carlos has grown into a lively young man, showcasing just how impactful support can be in the lives of children.
🎆 As we bid farewell to 2023, we reflect on the remarkable strides we've achieved together in delivering advanced healthcare to children in need. This year, we achieved significant milestones, including the acquisition of Childspring International in Atlanta. Joining forces allows us to provide more services to children and communities. Together, we have proudly served more than 24,100 children, offered over 63,400 services, and completed 707 international medical and training teams.
⭐️Even more thrilling is an even bigger impact coming on the horizon, as we look forward to the opportunities in the coming year to strive for a brighter, healthier future for every child. 🙌
