GREAT NEWS: I conducted my very first tour with a group of excited potential students eager to join Academy this Fall! 🎉 Seeing their enthusiasm and positive reactions nearly made me emotional. They left Academy more impressed with what my team and I offer.

It’s moments like these that remind me how far we’ve come as an Academy, from being a small fashion club with no inventory, Studio or staff in 2021. (If you know, you know.) Yet I knew that if I stayed the course that one day God would provide me with a space, and funding to purchase inventory and hire a team. God did just that, and far more.

After the Tour, I asked one of my staff members to take this photo of me to commemorate this significant milestone. Y’all, I’m so happy! I feel blessed, daily, to be doing what I love. I wouldn’t trade this assignment for anything in the world. Lord, I thank you for continuously trusting me with Academy. 🥹💕

On today’s episode of “Gynélla’s Outfit of the Day”, I decided to sport a fun, casual look with bold accessories, from hair to shoe. Hair accessories made by me. It’s the little things, like putting this look together, that bring me immense joy. 💕✨

…and I’m just getting started. 👩🏽‍💻 I plan to be all that I can see and redefine the realm of possibilities for stutterers in the world, including my triplet brother. 💕✨

Months ago, when the weight of .co was getting heavy, God revealed to me a vision of me and my Chief Operations Officer sitting on a stage speaking to a crowd. I remember feeling so overwhelmed with so much .co work and out of nowhere, He deposits this vision into my mind. His words to me were, “I know it’s a-lot right now, but you have My strength. You know that I only have plans to prosper you. You’re doing so well.” I started crying from both the fatigue and His comforting words, and I kept the vision to myself.

Fast forward to today, .co has provided over $10 billion in grant opportunities to small business owners nationwide. Our community has grown to 15,000 people nationwide. And yesterday, Alexis and I had our first speaking engagement at the Infinite Legacy Symposium where we shared the stage with and First Citizens Bank to provide valuable insights on grant funding. While Invest Atlanta and First Citizens Bank discussed funding opportunities through loans and lines of credit, Alexis and I dropped many gems on how individuals and business owners can access grants (free money). The event was nothing short of amazing!

As I drive home from the event, I couldn’t help but to constantly thank God. For His unceasing friendship and continued trust in me as CEO to .co and Academy! 🥹💕

MOOD, because we wrapped up the first quarter of the new academic year at my fashion design Academy, , and my heart is overflowing with gratitude and joy. This quarter has been nothing short of a transformative journey for my Academy. It marked a significant chapter for us — a quarter of expansion, elevation, and embracing change.

Stepping into the role of Academy Director, I faced the unknown with a mix of nervous excitement and unwavering confidence. Raising our membership prices was a decision I approached with fear. It took all of my mentors sitting me down, patiently explaining why this price increase was not only necessary but crucial for the longevity and sustainability of our Academy. My heart was racing and my palms were sweating. Yet, our community responded with overwhelming support, surpassing our initial enrollment goal in days. 🥹✨ (I cried, for days.) Also, transitioning from a one-woman team to leading a dynamic team of Fashion Instructors has been nothing short of inspiring. Their passion, dedication, and unique talents have added a vibrant layer to the fabric of our Academy. I couldn’t have prayed for a better team of Fashion Instructors! 💕✨

This quarter has reaffirmed the goodness of God and the truth that everything works for our good. As the Academy Director and Founder, I’ve discovered a strength within myself that I hadn’t fully realized. This journey has shown me that, indeed, I am right where I’m meant to be and where God needs me. And that everything I need is already within me. 💕✨

I’m immensely proud of the work we’re doing at — educating and employing prospective fashion designers. Each day is a step towards
a future we’re collectively shaping. The future of is so bright. I’m so excited for 2024!✨

A month ago, I took a leap of faith and designed and submitted partnership proposals to potential fashion corporations. A week went by, I heard nothing. Three weeks went by, still nothing. Yet I still kept the faith. Last week, I opened my email and read that 2/5 of my proposals were approved! I met with the corporations, who were just as excited to meet with me, to discuss . We solidified a partnership that would provide exclusive corporate discounts and employment opportunities to my students. 🙌🏽✨ I left the call in tears and in full gratitude. All my hard work had paid off. 👩🏽‍💻✨
