Well, isn’t this an amazing surprise?

Remember when I shared that I got nominated for an ACHI Magazine award? Well, guess who won….



What’s crazy is that I didn’t prepare a speech because I thought there was no way in the world I would win. There were so many amazing nominees who I thought were more deserving than I was. I was honored to be nominated and that (for me) was enough. But, God can always dream bigger dreams for you than you can dream for yourself. And He saw my efforts and my heart to encourage. So, tonight I won the Positive Social Influence Award for my work motivating girls and women to live to the end of their potential.

Thank you to for this amazing honor.

Sometimes, we can’t always make out what God doing in our life. You think someone is really riding for you, but it turns out, they’re the main one trying to knock you off your square. Sometimes, it’s the people closest to you that break your heart the worst.

But, girl…it’s okay. The Bible tells us to commit our way and our trust in the Lord and HE will act. (Psalms 37:5). Don’t worry ‘bout them ppl. They can not stop what God is doing. Commit your way to Him. Follow your purpose. Follow it scared. Follow it heartbroken. Follow it in your depression and anxiety. Follow it when you’re sad. Commit yourself to purpose by any means necessary and watch God WORK! Now, go live your life . You got this!

A Crowned Conversation:

Mighty God…I needed this reminder today.

Sometimes, we feel woefully . Like we’ve fallen so short or we don’t have what it takes. There are so many spaces in my life where this is my story. I spent most of my childhood in an educational system that prioritized proving your worth and being the best. And when you are competing with a school full of geniuses, sometimes it’s hard to recognize your own value.

But what I’ve learned to do is remember that in addition to my value, I have worked hard. I have worked hard to be a good mother. I have worked hard in ministry. I have worked hard to be an exceptional entrepreneur. I have worked hard in pageantry. I have worked hard to be a model and brand ambassador. I have worked hard to be an amazing writer and content creator. And that hard work has earned me the right to not only use my voice, but to be in those spaces. To speak from a place of expertise.

And this is the spirit in which I’ll go to . Unapologetically confident. Knowing that I am walking in my and my . Unafraid to use the voice I’ve earned.

“Looking forward to the memories of right now…”

Most people who know me know that I celebrate my birthday the entire month of November. But the week of is always super special. I take the entire week off. I treat myself. I pamper myself. And I spend time celebrating the wonderful life I have been given. I don’t take for granted the blessings that God has bestowed on me; more love than I could imagine, an amazing family, fantastic friends, and a life that is full and wonderful. Today, some great friends and I went to for brunch. The love I felt was amazing.

Thank you to everyone who posted, called, texted, or in any way took time out to celebrate my 41st trip around the sun. Here’s to another year of living my best, most amazing life.

I love and all but ehrrrr ummm…run me the prayer that or prayed to make their first million!

What we ain’t finna do is miss an opportunity to celebrate our dope ness! Happy National PlusSize Appreciation Day to you, dope ! You are all the things! Even when they tell you, you’re not. Even when they hate you and hate on you. Even when they despise your confidence. Especially when they want you to feel bad for simply breathing and taking up space. Breathe, sis! Take up AAALLLLLL the space. And keep being dope. Because at the end of the day, neither “them” or their opinion are going to stop you from being amazing. Live in that. Revel in it. Luxuriate in it.
