A Positive April Fool's Prank at Goizueta!
On April 1, 2015, Goizueta Business School students were "feeling epic" when Ian Somerhalder (The Vampire Diaries, LOST) popped into professor Manish Tripathi's marketing class and said, "Hello, class," instead of "Hello, brother" (IYKYK). Nikki Reed (Twilight) also joined Somerhalder as a substitute teacher of the day as part of Chevy's #BestDayEver campaign—putting a positive spin on April Fool's Day pranks. The now-married couple took questions about personal branding, and even took a selfie with the class—while also turning the whole class #TeamDamon! The Vampire Diaries, filmed minutes away from Oxford College of Emory University in Covington, GA, aka "Mystic Falls," ran for eight seasons on The CW. Currently, Somerhalder is no stranger to entrepreneurship as he is in the beverage business with The Vampire Diaries co-star, Paul Wesley. He is also recognized for his environmental activism and philanthropic efforts.
