Sometimes life is messy. Grace Chapel youth proved that yesterday! It was weird, but it was fun.

Thanks to all the kids who showed up and to all the adults who helped.

Have you been looking for a way to get to know more people at Grace Chapel? One of the best ways to connect with others is over a shared meal. We are offering this option for people to gather and connect with firends new and old. Over the next fiew weeks we are asking people to sign up for a “Grace Chapel Dinner Group.”

You will then be grouped with a few others who sign up (hopefully someone you don’t know well) and you can coordinate your meal. You can have a BBQ in the backyard and include the kids. You can meet out and make it an adults-only evening. Meet for after church or even before church for breakfast. We are flexible about the “dinner” part! Do what makes the most sense for your group. The goal is to get to know those in your church family and have fun.

Bryant Phelps who joined us for worship earlier this year) and help celebrate Grace Avenue's 25 years of ministry.

Today was a great day at Grace Chapel! Our youth led us in worship, we celebrated their work on mission trip this week, our very own Sam Gibke brought us a beautiful message about the importance of community (even for introverts!), and we baptized a beloved child of God! Happy Sunday to everyone!

Grace Chapel Youth are hard at work in Paris! Today we had to deal with both heat and rain. Keep them in your prayers as they finish the rest of the week.

The Grace Chapel Church youth are off to Paris, TX to do good work. They were commissioned during worship and blessed at departure (both for them and their creative packing!). We can’t wait to see what God will do through them this week!

Today we celebrate Juneteenth as a reminder of both how far we have come and how much more there is to do. As the grandmother of Junteeth, Opal Lee, has said, “…none of us are free until we are all free.”

We pray that we can remember our history as we continue to move forward, ever closer to the freedom that God calls us to.

Today wrapped up this year’s North Texas UMC Annual Conference. We celebrate the commissioning of Kim Konecki Eiffert and are grateful to all of our Grace Chapel family who drove 30 miles in a rain storm to be there.

We also celebrate the reappointment of Joshua E. Manning as our Lead Pastor as well as Kim’s appointment to Grace Chapel. Sara Meek-Rogers is staying by choice and we are immensely blessed by that decision every day!

God is up to something at Grace Chapel and the future is bright!
