Dr. William Pickard's journey began in Detroit, where he blazed trails as one of the first Black franchise owners of a McDonald's back in 1971.

Beyond McDonald’s, his most enduring legacy is his commitment to giving back. Dr. Pickard's philanthropic endeavors touched countless lives, empowering the Black community through education, culture, and opportunity.

May his memory continue to inspire us all.
