We look forward to seeing everyone this Friday through Sunday for the Skopabsh Powwow.
With every paddle stroke, every drum beat, every sacred dance, we bring life to the culture that defines us. Our Seattle heritage runs deep. Look for our TV spot during the Seattle Seahawks preseason game broadcast today.
Lushootseed is the language of what we now call the Puget Sound. It is split into two groups- Northern and Southern Lushootseed. Muckleshoots speak the southern dialect. While there are some distinctions between the two, Northern and Southern Lushootseed are understandable to each other.

Seattle holds a special place in all our hearts. But try looking at it through a Muckleshoot lens and there’s even more to love. Our Seattle heritage runs deep. Look for our TV spot during the Seattle Seahawks preseason game broadcast today.

The Muckleshoot canoe has arrived in Puyallup! We raise our hands to everyone who made the Youth Journey possible, from the youth to the elders who supported them and shared their knowledge and especially to the Puyallup Tribe of Indians for hosting this event. We look forward to celebrating at Protocol tomorrow through Monday.
The theme for Power Paddle to Puyallup Youth Canoe Journey 2024 is "Our Sacred Youth." It seems so appropriate. Beautiful to see our young people continuing to bring our culture to life!
Making us proud. Our young people, led by Youth Skipper Cameron Williams in Muckleshoot's canoe, Warrior, have been on the water and pulling hard for this year's Power Paddle to Puyallup Youth Canoe Journey 2024. They'll be landing this evening about 7pm.
"Your Vote is Your Voice" T-shirts styled by Steven Charles are a great reminder that Election Day is just a week away! Cast your ballot at the Community Center drop box anytime before 8 p.m. Tuesday August 6. No stamp required.
Kids ages 6-18 are invited to join us and the Seattle Mariners on August 10 for Play Ball Weekend. Register by this Wednesday, July 31, to enjoy baseball and softball skill stations with former college and professional players, a t-shirt, swag bag, lunch, and ice cream.
Because of challenging weather and water conditions, the canoe landing at Salt Water Park scheduled for today (Monday, July 29th) has been canceled. All other activities are still scheduled. Thank you.
Communities across the country are coming together on August 6th for National Night Out, a community-building event promoting police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie, and Muckleshoot is too! Join us at the Community Center for a donut eating contest, police vs. youth basketball game, bouncy houses, booths, and more.
The Muckleshoot Canoe Family is on the water for the Power Paddle to Puyallup Youth Canoe Journey. Next stop is Port Townsend!
The focus of this year’s Canoe Journey, Our Sacred Youth, provides an opportunity for elders to share their knowledge and guide and support our youth as they prepare to step into leadership roles. It also ensures that our culture and traditions will continue through future generations.
We wish the Muckleshoot Canoe Family and all other Canoe Families participating in this event blessings and look forward to seeing them again in Puyallup on the 31st, before Protocol August 1-5.
