It’s time to talk about retinol 📣 What is retinol? and how to introduce it into your skincare routine. 👍

I always get the question, how do I get started on retinol? There are so many different retinols in the market and the percentage of retinol matters. Depending on your skin type always start with a low percentage. 0.5%-1% and slowly introduce it into your routine.

But let’s start with what retinol is. Retinol is a Vitamin A derivative with so many great benefits to your skin. The most effective benefit is anti-aging. Retinol helps with boosting cell turnover and increases your collagen production. Retinol can help improve skin texture, fade hyperpigmentation, treat acne issues, prevent wrinkles, dark circles and even reverse sun damage. 🙌

Schedule: Start using it once a week for the first 2 weeks, increase to twice a week for the next 2-3 weeks, alternate nights for another 2-3 weeks. Then once your skin is adjusted to it you can increase to every night or every other night.

I love a good underarm wax. It’s one of my personal favorites for myself. I have no regrets the day I ditched the razor and started waxing my underarms. One of the biggest questions I get “Can I get waxed while I’m on my menstrual cycle?” The answer is YES! 🙏 You may be a little more sensitive, but still be able to enjoy a fresh wax during your cycle! All I ask is for you to put a clean tampon before your wax service, and that’s it. ❤️🌸
