During their visit, the kids not only had a chance to pet and play with the horses but also learned fascinating facts about them. Did you know that horses can sleep both lying down and standing up?

On June 20, 2024, at the historic Rickwood Field in Birmingham, AL, club kids watched the Cardinals and Giants face off in an epic MLB game. We also liked to honor and pay homage to the legendary Willie Mays who recently passed away. Mr. Mays is leaving behind a legacy that has forever changed baseball. The number 24 worn by Mays, symbolizes his extraordinary career and enduring impact on the sport. Mays started his journey with dreams and determination just like these young fans and club kids. His extraordinary talent, sportsmanship, and love for the game continue to inspire us all.
This historic event in time will always be sketched in the memories of our club kids :)

🌟 What a fun and educational day at the Auburn Clubhouse! Our Marketing Coordinator, Jermelle Custer, stepped out of the corporate office to teach our club kids the basics of marketing. Each group was given a genuine Boys & Girls Club item to promote as a social media ad, commercial, reel, or scripted promotion.

Who Are We?
Great Futures Start Here
For more than 25 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Lee County has delivered on our promise to provide area youth, especially those who need us most, with the support needed to reach their full potential. In order to have the greatest impact on the lives of children, we operate two Clubs in Lee County purposefully located in areas of high need. Currently, we serve over 550 children and teens annually and nearly 200 each day, many of whom are minorities, economically disadvantaged and live in single-parent households.
BGCLEECO has a proven and effective approach: provide youth with a positive, accessible place to go; surround them with trained and supportive staff; and offer results-oriented programs that are educational, recreational and age-appropriate.
