Balayage on my favorite girl!

Someone very dear to me is going through chemo. I went to a couple wig appointments and she did find one she liked. However, she really wanted a money piece and we could not find a wig that had one. I’ve been trying to help out in my area of expertise, it just wasn’t sitting right with me that she couldn’t find what she wanted. I even started to watch videos on how to make a hand tied wig. When she sent me a picture of a wig cap she got and did not like, I decided I was going to make a wig cap for her but better!!! I would use human hair I could custom color, cut and make comfortable. A few years ago I bought these really nice extensions but the lowlight was way too warm so I never wore them. I took them out of the box, picked up the warm lowlights and colored them the ashy color she kept describing that she liked next to bright blonde. After that I cut out all the thread holding the clips in and removed them. I hand sewed the extensions in, that way if she wants to change out the hat all I have to do is cut the thread and sew in a new hat. Next I took two pieces from my own extensions that were solid blonde and sewed those in the front as a money piece. After that I had my husband put the cap on and I cut the hair because they were 20 inch extensions. I framed the frontjust like how she likes and styled it. Feeding my people.

It’s been awhile since I shared a recipe. These vegan tacos with homemade tortillas we’re probably the best tacos I’ve ever had. I made the tortillas, chipotle sauce ( for the cauliflower) avocado crema, pickled onions and jalapeños. I’ll post the recipe in the comments. ( tortillas were a different video and I could not save it from TikTok )

After 1 1/2 year rest period for her hair, we added in lots more brightness and rooted it. Look at her natural ( gray ) money piece 😍

Went to my sisters before school to style my niece’s hair and makeup for her talent show. Leighton the cheerleader!

8 weeks prior she had color and highlights put in. I had quite the task of trying to lift that color out 😬🫠🤞🏻😅🙌🏻

Fresh money piece, fresh tan, new makeup and new top. It was something to document 💁🏼‍♀️

I did not do this color, I was in 7th grade at this time! But can we take a moment to appreciate my moms color and cut back then? The 90’s has some of my favorite styles 😍

I just love a money piece backed by some rich chocolate brown.

Reverse Balayage. At her last appointment we had taken her from pretty dark to bright blonde. She wanted to go back darker so I did a reverse balayage and toned her highlights.

My nieces with styles by me 💁🏼‍♀️ I love that they want me to style their hair. Lake has such a sensitive head, she won’t allow it lol

Sliced foils because she wanted more blonde this time.

Rooted, money piece and lightened her ends. She wanted to be able to go longer in between appointments. We took her from a foil to a root melt.

She had previous bleach and chlorine in her hair we could not get out. I made her wait just about one year before I would add any highlights. Little by little we have been cutting off her ends ( cutting off the chlorine hair ) finally she was able to get highlights and another good cut.

First color service for this 13 year old cutie! I love seeing their faces when they see the results 🤗

Color Correction from red to blonde in 1 day. 10 hour appointment. First we had to try to remove as much color as possible ( red is the hardest color to get out ) I told her she was going to be a very warm and darker blonde highlight and luckily although still on the warm side it was much lighter results.

Weekend in Suncadia

14th birthday weekend getaway in suncadia with friends.

Last weekend we celebrated my sisters 40th birthday in Seabrook. One of our favorite beach towns.

I foiled the front and did balayage on the under pieces.
