Thankful for our 4-H Golf Family today! Loved hosting all our golfers for the 18th Annual Alabama 4-H Foundation Golf Tournament. This tournament raises scholarship dollars each year for 4-H'ers to pursue their post-secondary education.

In the 18 years of this event, we even had our first HOLE IN ONE!

We're so excited to give you more glimpses into how your giving impacted our 4-H Family in 2023!
CAMP: We are committed to creating lasting change in our youth through 4-H programming. 4-H camp instills creativity, independence, and social skills in a fun and interactive setting, through which your giving allowed us to increase our outreach and capacity to serve. Your giving allowed us to bring camp to 300 4-Hers (of which 60% experienced camp for the first time)!

COMPETITION & TRAVEL: 4-H encourages youth to apply their skills and expand their knowledge, which is why we are so proud of our competitive events teams! Youth teams traveled 14,490 miles for national 4-H conferences and competitions in 2023, and we couldn't be prouder of their continued diligence and teamwork!

HIGHER EDUCATION: Today's investments allow for tomorrow's leaders to pursue the next steps in their higher education with confidence that the principles learned in 4-H will serve them well and be a part of them forever. Through the perpetuity of endowments and your support of our special events, $50,000 in scholarships were awarded to 4-Hers in 2023, taking with them the spirit of 4-H and what we're all about.

We are so grateful for your generosity and for your part in transforming these amazing kids all over the state. We can't do what we do without you.

High school seniors! The deadline to apply for scholarships is March 1st, 2024!

Since its inception in 2020, over $147,500 has been awarded to 4‑H’ers across Alabama to help them achieve their career goals. Whether it’s a four-year college or university, community college, trade school or professional certificate, Alabama 4‑H and the 4‑H Foundation believe in the pursuit of individual happiness and success.
This year, $38,000 in scholarship funding will be awarded to outstanding high school senior 4‑Hers state-wide:
35 – $1,000 Scholarships awarded by the Alabama 4‑H Foundation
1 – $1,500 Scholarship awarded by the Barbara D. Thorne 4‑H Endowment
1 – $1,500 Scholarship awarded by the Beth and Dr. Thomas Elliot 4‑H Endowment (Auburn University Student)

It’s 4-H Midwinter Weekend at the 4-H Center!! ✨

In addition to planning a weekend full of fun activities and leadership workshops, the 4-H State Ambassadors rose above and beyond to provide scholarship opportunities for others to attend as well! Through their hard work in raising money to start and maintain the Alabama 4-H State Ambassador Legacy Endowment honoring Doug Summerford, they have provided opportunities for their peers to attend this leadership weekend free of charge! It’s their commitment to the 4-H Pledge that reflects what Alabama 4-H is all about:
