Congratulations to Lieutenant Jacob Cederwall, for receiving his 15-year Service Pin Award at our recent Board of Commissioner meeting!
Cederwall began as a Volunteer Firefighter with our department in 2009, he was hired as a Career Firefighter in 2018 and has worked his way up the ranks to the role of Lieutenant, where he currently oversees our Training Department and the development of our personnel.

Firefighter Kelsie Murray epitomizes ambition. In addition to pursuing her dream of becoming a career firefighter, navigating the tough hiring process, completing a demanding 6+ month academy, EMT training, continuing to study and test for her rigorous apprenticeship, and being a wife and mother to two young children, she has achieved a major milestone: earning her Master's degree in Communication and Leadership from !
At our recent Board of Commissioner meeting, Firefighter Murray discussed how her degree and Capstone project directly relate to the fire service and our agency, outlining her plans to apply her knowledge as a servant leader among her peers.

Firefighters Leonard & Failauga recently participated in the Enumclaw High School - Enumclaw CTE Trades Fair. Our firefighters spoke with students about the steps of the hiring process, what the academy is like, a day in the life of a firefighter, and much more.
Our firefighters also participated in an extrication simulation, where students saw the firefighters use the jaws of life, alongside firefighters from Enumclaw Fire Department and Puget Sound Fire.

During the academy, Firefighters delved into pump operation intricacies, mastering water flow, pressure dynamics, and various pump systems. With hands-on instruction in pump utilization, they're now ready to tackle emergencies with precision and expertise.
We're proud to equip our firefighters with the know-how to safeguard lives and property in the face of incidents.
