How to know if someone is using AI to trick you into thinking you're seeing a photo:

Step 1: Be suspicious of things that look too amazing

Step 2: Use an AI image checker like https://isitai.com/ai-image-detector/ to see how likely the photo is to be AI. In my experience, anything that's ~60% likely to be AI is usually human. Things that are 90%+ likely to be AI usually are

Step 3 (optional): Use an AI tool to see if you can make something similar to the photo in question. If the lighting and subject detail is easily achieved with an AI tool, it's most definitely AI and not a real photo.

The first image below is being shared by a page that consistently posts images of what are essentially concept designs and pretends that it is a photo.

I personally feel there is absolutely nothing wrong with using AI tools to make media. I just feel like with this type of AI content, the intent is to fool everyone and disconnect them from their ability to perceive reality.

This is why it's so important to make art in any form. I don't care what you use or how you do it, whether it's music or painting, AI or poetry, creating can take you out of the survival state (of feeling stuck and struggling) into a higher state of energy that kick-starts the healing process.

I got irritated today and then this popped up. I was reminded of the times I found myself frustrated and had decided to sit down to make something instead of dwelling on stress.

It doesn't necessarily make the stress disappear, but it helps to move it further away from the center of focus and makes it easier to process.

Anyways, this has been my $0.02 on healing with art, coming from ~5 years of vitamin/wellness management, Reiki, and whatever art experience over the last 3 years. These are not qualifications, but they might help to shed some light on why I have these opinions.

And as usual, I'm okay with being wrong
