2022 CVO
Like it never happened.

Customer hot rodded his old Honda years ago. He had custom decals made for the side covers. The side covers needed repaint and the decals were worn. He had an old leftover set of decals from the old days. Problem is, he had one silver and one gold.
I used his old decals to make stencils and painted the logos on.

Customer had pictures of a paint job he loved. We modified the layout to work with his CVO Roadglide. We repainted it using the original Starfire Black for the base color, then added graphics in Ultra Orange with Tangelo and Black Cherry stripes.

This is a set of Facebook painted parts. Color matched......no, the color is off by a mile. That's why they're here.
The plastic is molded so poorly, it looks like it has dents in it. The edges of the saddlebag lids have a serated edge like a cheap knife. The right bag has a dip in the plastic too deep to fill. The color is wrong. But the color that's on it is splotchy and uneven.
THAT'S WHY THEY'RE SO CHEAP!

I've got hundreds of helmet stickers to choose from. Mild, wild, rude, patriotic, religious, military, offensive, defensive, and anything in between. I'm sure I have what you want for your helmet, toolbox, or whatever.
I'm thinking of setting up at some motorcycle events this summer........like the good old days before covid. With the custom paint display and the helmet stickers.

An early 70's Honda Mini Trail tank. This is a small tank, but required big work to bring it back to life. I started by removing the molding so it can be cleaned and reused. Next, I strip the old paint. Weld rust holes, pressure test, weld more rust holes, pressure test, weld more rust holes, pressure test, beat head against the wall, weld more rust holes, pressure test......yippee!!!! no more rust holes. Put liner in tank (PIA factor for this step is very high).
Bodywork and prime. Paint orange candy, add logos. Final clear and polish. Reinstall molding. Total time 18 hours with about $150 in materials.

1974 Norton 850 Commando tank and side covers with the John Player paint scheme. This is all paint, no decals. The paint lines are completely buried in clearcoat. It was great to have a part in bringing this old Norton back to life.

Ghosted 2nd amendment/tattered flag graphics on black saddlebag lids. The camera cuts through the ghosting effect. They are more ghosted in person.

These are wear plates that go on the old style HD saddlebag lids. Each bag has two. I remove the old ones for paint and replace them with new ones when I'm finished. These went from $6 each to over $20 each in the last 3 years. I've tried the aftermarket ones, but they don't adhere very well. Nothing works like OEM. It won't be long and these will no longer be available from HD.

Finished with the helmets and probably finished with helmets altogether. Over 22 hours and $450 in materials. Getting a helmet painted to match isn't cheap. These are my new prices for painting helmets. There are basically 4 types of helmets;
Novelty - single color paint jobs start at $150 plus materials.
3/4 helmet- single color paint jobs start at $350 plus materials.
Full Face - single color paint jobs start at $650 plus materials.
Modular - single color paint jobs start at $1000 plus materials.
Things that make the price go up;
Candies, pearls, stripes, logos, emblems, or anything other than a single color.
Want a deal? Disassemble the helmet yourself and bring me just the pieces you want painted. You could save an easy 60 or 70%. On full face and modular helmets the time to disassemble and reassemble is more than half of the total price.

Why do you charge so much to paint a helmet?
I take everything apart. Every painted part is painted separately, then the helmet gets reassembled. It took over 3 hours just to take these two helmets apart. With prep, paint, polish, and reassembly, I'll have an easy 12 to 14 hours in these two helmets. Not to mention the cost of materials to paint them a 3 stage Harley color.
The white helmet has 9 pieces to paint.
The black helmet has 11 pieces to paint.
"It's just a helmet, it's no big deal, I'm not looking for much". Every job is a big deal to me. I paint everything with the same quality and attention to detail or I won't paint it at all.

Putting the final touches on the next military themed TriGlide. There is a lot of insignia and patches on this on.

Timms Harley-Davidson of Augusta is in their new building. The new place looks really nice with lots of elbow room and lots of motorcycles. Stop by and check it out, spend some money, and have some fun. (hint: fun is more fun on a new Harley...even more funner with a custom paint job)

Timms Harley-Davidson of Augusta Proud to be the only Harley-Davidson® Dealer in the CSRA.

Stop by Timms Harley-Davidson of Augusta to see this beauty in person. You might want to bring your checkbook with you. Vivid Black and Candy Red! One of a kind. You'll never see another like this.

This tank is no longer available from HD. I duplicated the paint job on a new OEM primed tank. The old tank is on the left (the other side is damaged) and my duplication is on the right. This was a difficult project, but I think I pulled it off.

Artwork by Scott Godwin.
We painted this shield for a military unit at Ft. Gordon. It has handles on the back, and will be used at military ceremonies and other activities. The artwork is representative of their unit patch.

Customer brought these parts in for a Candy Brandywine paint job with graphics in Ultra Icing Silver Flake. This one sparkles in the sunlight. I can't wait to see it all together.

2023 CVO Streetglide repainted in Vivid Black/Candy Red Sunglo/Pewter. The paint is so shiny, it's hard to photograph. This one of a kind beauty is on the sales floor at Timms Harley-Davidson of Augusta. Their sales team will be happy to help make this your next motorcycle.

I copied the paint scheme from the damaged tank. This is a 50th Anniversary Sportster tank. On the original tank, the gray stripes and logo are screen printed, and the red and silver stripes are some of paper or vinyl applique. Matching paint colors to print ink is difficult, but this one turned out near perfect.

Why do people get mad when I won't give a price for my services over the phone? I try to explain there are too many variables in painting motorcycles to have a blanket price, therefore I must see the bike and have all the information before I could even begin to give a price. Even a guess. Information like;
1. Am I taking the parts off and replacing them after paint?
a. Do you have an aftermarket stereo installed? LED lighting? Aftermarket
chrome accessories or dodads? These take extra time to remove and replace
and can greatly affect the price.
b. Many chrome stick on accessories cannot be reused and must be replaced.
2. How many parts are getting painted?
a. Are the parts OEM or aftermarket?
b. Aftermarket parts quality is not consistent. Some will require more prep
than others.
3. What is the condition of the parts and existing paint? We see defects in paint
that a layman would not. Defects that will affect the quality of the work.
a. Is the paint original or has it been repainted?
b. What does the underside of the fenders look like? We repair inside and out.
4. What color or colors do want? Prices of colors can vary drastically .
a. Do you want pinstripes or graphics?
b. Do you have pictures, sketches, or drawings of what you want?
c. How many parts will get multiple colors?
5. Are you supplying all the necessary replacement parts like gaskets, sealing
screws, clamps, o-rings, grommets, etc?
a. Many fuel tanks will require new gasket, screws, and check valve. Failure to
replace these items may result in fuel leakage and potential paint damage or
worse......a fire!

There is a lot of information that cannot be conveyed by phone or pictures. I will not commit to a price for a job sight unseen. Even giving a "ballpark" price, I can be off by thousands if I don't have all the information. I understand everyone wants the best possible deal they can get. Here is how you get the best deal.

Before you buy anything.
Stop by the shop with your bike.
Lets talk about what you want and the budget you have.
Buy all the parts through my shop. I only sell quality aftermarket parts and I can give the same price as the Internet and sometimes better.
I can give a better deal on the whole job. Cherry picking will cost more in the end.

What we do is provide the best possible quality job we can.
What we don't do is compromise quality.
We are by no means cheap. But if you compare quality to price, nobody beats us.

Our motto here is;
"Don't ask us to match their price, ask them to match our quality"

25 year old fender replication. We got lucky and the customer was able to provide a brand new OEM primed fender. In 1998, this paint job was referred to as Cream Sickle. No color names or codes to help us figure out the colors.
We got pretty damn close on the orange and white main colors as well as the gold and red pinstripes, considering the age of the paint with the fading and discoloration of the colors. This paint was well cared for, but still discolored. One can see a definite difference in color where the trim was removed. (See pics)
We try our best to make it look like it never happened.

We repainted this 2024 CVO Roadglide in Vivid Black with Smokey Gold pinstripes and graphics for Timms Harley Davidson in Augusta GA. This Black Beauty got a one of a kind paint job that makes it look so much more sinister than the stock silver, while keeping the same stripe layout. This is the CVO Harley Davidson should have produced.
Another paint job we are proud of at Jim Perry Customs.

2024 CVO Roadglide in Vivid Black with Smokey Gold graphics and stripes.
We take great pride in our paint work, and it really shows on this black beauty.
This is the one Harley Davidson should have made.

This fender was installed backwards at a so called custom shop. The hole is used by the factory to hang the fender for paint. If installed properly, the hole isn't noticeable. The front of the fender has a rolled edge for strength.
Another "I know a guy " story.

New policy effective immediately.
1. Absolutely no checks.
2. Absolutely no credit
3. Credit cards will be charged 4% convenience charge. Credit card companies charge me too much for your convenience. I am only passing their charges to the card holder.
4. I will no longer let any vehicle leave my shop with an outstanding charge no matter how small.

I will not work for free, and I will not work on anyone's vehicle who in the past burned me or took advantage of my good nature.
